Great spot in and amongst those bamboo trees> That "bridge" looked very sketchy BTW! Favorite moto-camping breakfast is oatmeal. Easy to make and nutritious.

Was a good spot indeed! I need to go back. Hopefully next time I can get the bike all the way to the camp site! I had done the bridge several times on a dr350 dirt bike so gave me a bit more confidence, but glad I took the top bags off ahead of time so I wasn't top heavy.

To stay warm, dry, and comfortable during the winter, you need to prepare properly. With the proper gear, you can comfortably camp in even the coldest winter conditions.
For winter camping, you’ll need a quality shelter and a warm sleeping bag and sleeping pad. You’ll also need some quality winter clothing to help you stay warm and dry. Chances are, you already have some of the gear and clothing that you’ll need.
Knowledge is also important when winter camping. It’s important to know how to navigate a snowy landscape, choose a campsite, prevent and care for cold injuries, and to avoid avalanche zones. Staying safe during the winter requires a bit of skill and knowledge.
The following tips will help you prepare for a winter camping trip.
Winter Camping Gear: Your Shelter, Sleeping Bag, and Sleeping Pad
Choosing the right gear is essential for a successful winter camping trip. You need gear that will keep you warm and dry. Your gear also needs to be tough enough to hold up to the extreme conditions you’re using it in.

Thanks for producing this video. I was wondering how you hauled in the two duffel bags full of gear. But now I saw you loaded everything up at the end of the trip. I run a Mosko Moto Reckless 80l setup with some very selective small gear and a 2 person tent, and wish I could carry a bigger tent like yours.

    • @GRiNGO-ADV
      @GRiNGO-ADV  ปีที่แล้ว

The setup in this video is definitely not ideal, but I had really wanted to take that tent (brown duffel), despite being huge because I knew it would rain and wanted to test putting the motorcycle in the "patio". Unfortunately didn't happen because I couldn't get enough traction to get up the hill after all the rain, mud and bed of foliage on the ground. The best option if you have the budget is a lightweight moto dedicated tent like Lone Rider that takes up less space if you put it on top of your tailbag or hang it off the side / attach to saddle like in @rob_hamilton videos. Obviously depends on how big/robust your motorcycle is.
With a 2p tent I can get all my gear in the following:
      40l duffel tailbag
      2x 12l saddle bags
      8l tank bag - 100% camera gear
      1l fender bag: food
8l soft cooler bag: food (all fresh / grocery store bought vs. backpacking food)
20l backpack: tripod + some other gear
so in all 101l. without camera gear or this type of food would be about 80l, like you. I use almost all compact / backpacking gear, though there are a few things more, I'd like to include so looking to go to a 50l duffel, 16l saddle bags, and bottle holders on the side of the saddles, though I might have to upgrade the suspension to compensate. The suspension was pretty maxed out in the this video. Once I get the bigger bag, I'm gonna try and take this tent, but without the ground cloth, inner tent, and poles; perhaps a happy medium. My setup in this video was definitely more comfortable: th-cam.com/video/kjDZUmyUn_Y/w-d-xo.html

hola.
