As an Italian, I would like to give you a friendly advice:beware of scams in Rome, especially as a tourist, if a street vendor comes up to you trying to give you a bracelet, just keep walking and don't even answer.

Hey Alan, Glad you're still enjoying the walks. :) I've never done that tour under the Piazza Navona but I have seen that gate at the far end. I'll have to go back and check it out. It is has been pouring down rain here for the last week and half and supposed to continue for a while too. I'm hoping it will let up a bit so I can film some Christmas markets.

I was there in 2004 and you could sit in front of fountain. You have to throw your coin! Been going since I was a child. my mother was from Rome. Been back to Europe five times since. Rome is first on my list next time!

What always impresses me about the tourists in Italy and Italian people, is that although it's hot out, they are respectfully dressed. You can dress comfortably and respectfully in hot weather!!!
And not one Starbucks to be seen anywhere. Fantastic!!!! I can only dream of living in a city like this, where there is no crime or violence. 1:40:50 reminds me of Navigili in Milan.

Im lover of archaeological sites and city like Rome is enrich. Hats of to those who preserved these precious treasures. In south Asia there is another city of worth attrection LAHORE with archaeological sites specially the walled city. It is my request to those lover who have taste to visit pakistan and enjoy places of worthseeing
impressive, but sometimes I wished I have a detailed view or closeup view of big structures or unique tourist attractions or wished to read things written over old monuments.

The chaotic sound of voices speaking Italian simultaneously. Not sure if all the noise is for me. I might go there wearing ear plugs. Love the language, just not keen on the dinner menu going down with a cocoffany of voice.
In Rome, it seems like everyone and his brother is selling brick bracs, nick nacks, paintings, their old shoes, door nails, anything they can lay their hands on. There is a ristorante, every two feet. Fighting tooth and nail for pavement space. People ought to be walking edgewise, crabwise, just to pass through.
What do you think happens in your country buddy . At least in Rome you have beautiful people and clean streets and beautiful buildings to,admire not like the dirty streets in your country .
