I had a sexual harassment story at work that really frightened me. While nothing serious happened (thank goodness), it really frightened me and left me crying for weeks. It really makes you feel worthless and even though I've always empathized with the women in the me too movement, I was never able to connect on a certain level when it came to the smaller matters. Now that it happened to me, I am telling you even the smallest instances can really take a toll on your mental health and self-worth. I didn't realize how true that fact could be, but when I found myself crying for weeks before I spoke up, I was finally able to understand even at the nuance levels of what sexual harassment feels like. Another girl at work, faced the same problem with the same guy and she confessed to me she was also crying to her boyfriend for days about it and didn't think it would be a good move to speak up. I found myself, to be extremely honest, very sad and a bit jealous that I didn't have a boyfriend to console me like she had. In the end, despite my worries of looking bad, I ended up speaking up at work and the guy was fired, even though he was really good at his job. Everyone at work was luckily on my side. And even still I felt a ton of guilt that the guy was fired, and also scared he would do something crazy.

To the letter: You think other's (WOMEN) would have not cared? When men are harassing, abusing, frightening, raping and killing us right and left, someone wouldn't care that their partner is not supporting them emotionally? Hiding behind the solution of "legal action was required" is being such a piece of shit. You know what happens in many cases where women take legal action? They get killed, or even the cops advise not to take action, because it will make it worse. So this is a typical NOT ALL MEN situation, where they just stay silent, even when it's happening to someone directly connected to them, but than claim to be the good guys. Where is the fucking empathy? If you are not even showing up for women on a personal matter (not publicly) than you are part of the problem.
