Île Vierge (Enez Verc'h) is located at the tip of Saint-Hernot (pronounced Saint Hernotte) on the beautiful peninsula of Crozon in the finistère, in Brittany. The sheltered pebble beach is accessible only by a coastal path. Framed by a high rocky coast,this beach with a truly fantastic panorama does not have to fear the comparison with the coast of the French Riviera or Corsica
Since March 2020 the beach of the Virgin Island in Crozon is forbidden to the public for obvious reasons of safety. it is done via a kind of earth slide and the rocks may fall at any time.
The access to the beach by pedestal is quite dangerous and chaotic i chose the kayak....
But that doesn’t stop you from coming to the heights to admire the landscape: it’s really beautiful!T he name is misleading because Île Vierge is not an island. The point east of Crozon is one of the most beautiful places in Finistère.
What makes the particularity of Île Vierge is the coastal landscape, atypical for Brittany.Old conifers rise on the high cliffs and give the area a Mediterranean touch, especially when the sun is shining.
Île Vierge is actually a peninsula connected to Cap de la Chèvre, near Saint-Hernot on the Crozon peninsula in Finistère.
The beach was ranked seventh in the ranking of the most beautiful beaches in Europe of the year in 2014 by the site European Best Destinations,platform responsible for promoting culture in Europe.
