OK seriously I’ve been watching your videos like crazy your flavors just looks amazing. I cannot wait to try your recipes. I’ll have to de-spice if I make any for my husband 😂
I will never understand people who dspice food so much that you cant taste it. Limpy-lipper here. That being said ill have to make this my way. It looks so good. Thanks
There is absolutely NO heat/spice in this soup!!! I did state that in the video. What do you think I put in that is spicy? Please let me know because I try not to make videos that are misleading.
I canned this tonight and Wow! I had never heard of it but it’s so delicious. You have become my favorite YT canner. I just love all your recipes. Thanks Jeni ❤️
This looks DELICIOUS Jeni... I'd never heard of it before.. please do a taste test video so we can see how you serve it. Yummy yum. Everyone stay safe and God Bless you and your family from middle GA 🙏 Kendra
Just looks like an another my family is with that just from this evening to put in it and that stuff. Do you have just the family size recipe printed someplace or I can just cut this one down and use it. And do you know what this translates to soup of something. You keep making recipes I'll keep asking you more questions and I'm sure I will fill up my recipe box with your recipes yours are almost always a hit at my house
@@Jeni_Gough thank you for the quick answer this may just be supper here tonight I seem to have all the stuff. You said traditionally it had some rice in the meatballs how much rice would you use approximately and cooked or uncooked to start
Mexican oregano and Italian oregano are two different plants. Italian has a more sweet minty flavor Mexican oregano is more citrus and savory. Taco seasoning contain Mexican oregano and would bite taste like taco seasoning without it.
Oh Yea! Just lovin' this one and it's gunna be a "MUST" in my pantry especially for winter (although like you we eat soups allot all year long and I'm in Texas). . . Just yummyliciuos up in here! Thanks for the recipe and all the time you share in your kitchen. BTW I canned your Chicken Dijon, it was out of this world! My son and i couldn't get enough! Served it over rice with a side of steamed broccoli! Restaurant worthy! What can I say. . .you're a Rockstar!

Yes, I use them on Ball and Kerr all the time. No buckling, no problems. I was showing what I canned, the video wasn’t about lids or jars. But I guess when I open one and do the taste test I can show the tops and the jars better. I used 3 ball jars, 2 Kerr jars and 2 pur jars, ALL Pur lids.

One thing I might suggest - add a little chorizo sausage to the ground beef. For 1 pound hamburger, I use about 1/2 of a .9-oz tube of chorizo. If you use too much chorizo, it overpowers the beef. I didn't even think to can my recipe, so thanks for the idea. I will adjust my recipe for canning (omit eggs & bread crumbs).
my sister loves this soup
I usually bake the meatballs in the oven wow another way thankyou
Making me hungry love it.
You did a super job Chris! Thank you.

I dont think browning them will make a difference,

Thank You, Jeni

I can't wait to try this! I might add some diced, dehydrated squash to the jars, as that would hold up better than fresh.
Sounds like another good one to try! Thanks Jeni!

Can put powers eggs
I wouldn’t use powdered eggs, the meatballs hold together just fine. 😊

Translates to soup of meatballs. You can cut it down to 1/3 for a family meal without canning. 😊

Looks good, but do they come out mushy? I am in the habit of canning single ingredients, but you made me hungry for soup.
No mush! They stay firm and I show this in the tasting video,.

I'm wondering...is it possible to use riced cauliflower in the meatballs? -- Sandy
It may make your meatballs fall apart.
I've never eaten this before but it looks delicious! How is mexican oregano different than the more common type?
Mexican oregano and Italian oregano are two different plants. Italian has a more sweet minty flavor Mexican oregano is more citrus and savory. Taco seasoning contain Mexican oregano and would bite taste like taco seasoning without it.
Just wondering why you didn't add the zucchini if it's so little zucchini?
Sorry, I hadn't finished the video when I asked about the zucchini. You answered my question. Thanks! 😊 Looks delicioso!😋
Thank you! 😊
Jeni...what is Mexican Oregano? Does it have a different flavor profile? And where do you buy it?
Mexican oregano is a different plant than Italian oregano. I have an Amazon pantry link in the description box, you can find it there. 😊
Why can we not put rice in the meatballs if you can buy soup with rice in a can ?
We use home pressure canners not commercial. Rice with would turn to thick mush and grow botulism.

Wow! $24 for a dozen is spendy! They are $12.99 a dozen at our ACE hardware here.
