I totally agree with you. If the leaders in Cherokee were on the ball this is their chance to build things up, make it more attractive to visitors and get back more tourism thus relieving some strain on Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge

I loved when Dawn said if she knew the choc chips weren’t in the batter than she wouldn’t have ordered it...that cracked me up!! I agree choc chip pancakes the cho chips should be mixed in the batter and not on top.

We have always said Flapjacks is underrated. We love it. Those fritters have us addicted!!! We loooooove them! Marc’s favorite is the Reese peanut buttter pancakes! I love the skillets. That was the first place we ate at in the Smokies. So we are kinda partial to it. We love Crockets and Little house of pancakes , are our favorites. Thanks for doing one of FlapJacks! ❤️
I was interested in that barn buster. It seems like a very good deal for all that variety. I would have to share though or bring it home. that is a lot of food. Yes good prices for a big breakfast. Then I again I am used to prices so high here on Oahu. We are trying to move. And Tennessee would be great. But we need A navy base.
Dawn, the next time you get toppings on top of your pancake instead of cooked inside try spreading them out evenly then flipping over the top pancake. It isn't as good as cooked inside but is the next best option.

Glad Dawn's chocolate chips were both in the pancakes and on top. Generally in the south you get biscuits and in the north you get toast. You might be able to substitute toast for biscuits if you ask. Will's breakfast was huge. I liked the looks of Dawn's skillet breakfast. Glad it was good!
This video makes me hungry for breakfast 😋.Those prices seem very reasonable. In Michigan around Metro Detroit we have a chain called the Original Pancake House their prices are about the same as Flapjack. They give you a lot most people take home food.
Dawn's right, that big breakfast should have included toast with 4 eggs sunny side up. There was already too much gravy for the biscuit, so you couldn't expect that biscuit to pull overtime and mop up the yolk XD
Oh and BTW, you mentioned Mecca tongue-in-cheek near the end of the video, but there's a place in west Texas to which I really believe you both should make an obligatory pilgrimage: Underwood's Cafeteria in Brownwood. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best cafeteria dining i've ever had, and that may still be around in this fair nation of ours.

That used to be my family’s go to place for breakfast then we figured out about the apple barn. Still a really good place sometimes sometimes they aren’t the best gotta catch them on good days

We love eating at the one as you come into Gatlinburg. We always get the Walker Sisters Skillet, but with the biscuit on the side and not under the gravy. Yum!!!

Very long wait to get in actually got the food to the table in a very reasonable time my wife and I ordered their big breakfast platter on the menu it looked huge so we decided to split it after all it came with four eggs but apparently they were eggs from a pigeon you could’ve held them all in the palm of your hand their biscuits did not look like they were freshly made and did not taste homemade at all the service was OK but again very disappointed in the portions so if you do order the big breakfast make sure you order one for yourself and one for your partner it was just OK I would probably eat there again if there were no waiting otherwise not worth it.
I've eaten a few times at the one in Gatlinburg. The coffee is good. I didn't order that much food. I thought the food was average. It wouldn't be a first choice considering all the other choices

Every time I order in the Smokies I always get more food than I expected. It all looks so yummy.

The food looked really good, especially Dawn's skillet. I am not a big fan of pancakes though.
