I love that he played with the crowd and then ended it with "fuck you" lmao ❤ Only Freddie man, only Freddie. And yes, we _absolutely_ would give _anything_ to have a vocal sing-off with him just _one_ more time.
Thank you for your reaction...to begin with...the vocalization is usually named “call and response”...The bassist, John Deacon was the youngest.....in this vid he’s aged 34 ...(believe it or not, and had several children)....Freddie was 39 ...Brian was 38 and Roger was 36...about the jacket...Freddie loved opera and saw a military jacket in a Spanish opera that he loved...and had several versions made....so Michael Jackson was really influenced by Freddie and Queen...that’s where he got the idea for his jacket...and by the way Michael’s gloves?...look back at Queen performances ..even in the early seventies ...Freddie wears different types of gloves...yes..Freddie certainly influenced Michael Jackson🤩
John was the youngest of the band. He was in second year university when he joined Queen. Even while rehearsing and playing with Queen he got a first class honours degree in Electrical Engineering. He was also the first married and first to be a father. He and his wife are still together and have 6 children. His birthday is August 19,1951so he would be 34 at this concert. Roger Taylor's birthday is July 26, 1949, Brian May's birthday is July 19, 1947 and Freddie Mercury's birthday is September 5, 1946. Freddie had some famous outfits over the years but the yellow jacket is probably the most iconic.
New subscriber here simply because of the Queen reactions. A list of other lives by Queen that are breathtakingly amazing are: “Save Me”, “Another One Bites the Dust”, “Play the Game” and “Love of My Life” all live in Montreal 1981, “Another One Bites the Dust”(again-its worth it), “Love of My Life”(again, youll be glad u watched both performances), “I Want to Break Free”, “A Kind of Magic”, and “One Vision” all live at Wembley 1986, “BoRhap” and “Under Pressure” live in Budapest 1986, and “We Will Rock You” live at Rock in Rio”. One thats not live but SO worth watching is Freddie’s solo song “In My Defence”. Its not only heartwrenchingly powerful, it, to me, is Freddie’s GREATEST vocal performance ever. Love that brilliant, too good for this world man. Keep em coming!! Thank you!!
Freddie really loved the vivid colours, though he mostly wore black and white on the stage in the early years. He also loved the military style and based on Freddie's ideas Diana Moseley created him this iconic outfit. There were 3 different jackets: this yellow one, one in white and one white with red stripes. John was a father to 4 children at that time.
Queen decided to sue ice for stealing the bass guitarist John Deacons rift, but ice settled out of court and Queen received 4 million dollars in royalties, I actually attended this live concert at Wembley Stadium absolutely amazing concert, great reaction thanks 🙏
John Deacon only played one more time with Queen as he got on so well with Freddie. He came back a few years after Freddie’s death to play the band’s tribute song that they composed over time. He said he couldn’t play without Freddie. He’s enjoying life with his wife, children, and grandchildren
Not sure if you know but all college educated. Freddie in Art design, Roger in Biology, John Deacon in electrical engineering and Brian (DR. Brian May) is an astrophysicist.
Love your reactions. I've been a fan since 1973, yes I'm that old. If you want to see them rock the venue the do, Now I'm here wembley Saturday night 1986. Early queen it has to be Liar Odeon live 70 something. You will love them xx
Loved your reaction . Yes, John was the youngest member . He was 19 years old when he joined Queen. He joined , as a hobby, never believing they would become famous 😂. If he had only known what was in store for them all.
John Deacon (Queen's bassist) is the youngest member but at this concert, he was almost 35 years old. John was only 19 years old when he joined Queen in 1971. John composed this infamous riff and it was the inspiration that Queen and David Bowie used to write the song.
John is the youngest member but he is only 2 years younger than Roger, 4 years younger than Brian and 5 years younger than Freddie so not really all that much younger, he just had that look about him. John wrote this bassline and the song was formed on it by Queen and David Bowie. You can find copies of that jacket on the internet and I have seen them for kids, not exact but very close. Just do a google search for Freddie Mercury yellow jacket for kids or use the words Freddie Mercury yellow jacket knockoffs. You should find it that way. Check around because some are pricey and some are not.
Thanks for your reaction to this song. I always loved how in intereacted with the audience. Another One Bites the Dust live at Wembley would be a great one to react to and to White Queen live at the Odeon. Thanks again thanks for your reactions....great as usual.
My grandson has the whole outfit and for Halloween he wore it even got the moustache, that queen sells on line. He’s going to collage and still has a picture of Freddie in ypthis outfit. His name is Ben Swihart and has a band called 7degrees brass band. At his last high school concert, he was awarded The Louie Armstrong Award. He plays all instruments but most the saxes urually the beri. Look them up they, would appreciate. And yes he has Freddie’s yellow jacket whole outfit.
John Deacon is the bass player. They are all around the same age, Freddie being a little older. The bass player wrote the bass line. And other songs such as Another One Bites the Dust, I Want to Break Free and more.
Michael Jackson’s jacket is like Freddie’s jacket! 😂 MJ was a huge fan of Freddie! They did 3 demos together, recorded at MJ’s home studio. But only one was officially released called THERE MUST BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS!
Queen’s 2-night performance at Wembley is considered EPIC from Queen’s set-list to Freddie’s yellow jacket “AAYY OOHH’s”. Under Pressure written by Queen & David Bowie .. tho, sadly Freddie & Bowie never performed it live together! 😢 FYI - INXS was one of the opening acts there at Wembley! The band talks how crazy the Queenies were before Queen took to the stage! A few years later, INXS would be the headliners at Wembley! 😆😆
Freddy Mercury the woman he loved soled that jacket for 64k.. I'm sure she could have gotten more than triple that amount but whatever. Probably more than a million.

That's a awesome little piece of music history! Thank you!
Hi 👑 Freddie’s favorite color was yellow 💛
I was there that night, best gig I've ever been to, stunning.

That yellow jacket is sweet 💛

This is my very fave performance of this song. However, the performance of it in Budapest 1986 is off the charts as well. Great reaction!!
The best band EVER! They are all phenomenal, but Brian is such a freaking ROCK GOD!! ❤️👑🎤🎸🎹🥁
Not sure if you know but all college educated. Freddie in Art design, Roger in Biology, John Deacon in electrical engineering and Brian (DR. Brian May) is an astrophysicist.
Did not know that, thanks for filling me in :)

Took note of these, thanks you!
Listen to, Who Wants to Live Forever, live at Budapest. It’s amazing.
Wow,🤩 beautiful sweet Freddie ❤️ ice ice baby hahaha 🤣 how I wish I could have been there 🤩❤️
Yellow was Freddie’s favorite color also. It’s being auctioned at Sothebys in August along with about 1500 items of his.
That's awesome to know that him and my daughter have a connection in their favorite color, yellow :)
So glad I was here and able to appreciate all of the GREAT music we had in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Miss Freddie so much. ❤️🇨🇦
Loved your reaction .

tha missed opportunity at Live Aid to do it live w/ Bowie
Forever young in our hearts .❤❤❤xxx
And if I remember right, he forgot that riff when they went to have pizza!! Have seen an interview or two where both Brian and Roger mentioned it.
@@FLmickey90 That was true but luckily Roger remembered it.
@@Sassypaws4927 Exactly! One of the interviews I remember, was Brian, Roger and just remembered Reinhold Mack interviewed in it as well.

You need to watch the live video of Freddie singing this with David Bowie...two greats missed indeed!
Amazon Europe sells this jacket as costume for 70 bucks......
