Dirt trick for one block: Coarse dirt is made from 2 dirt and 2 gravel. The recipe is a diagonal thing, such as dirt / and gravel \, it may be flipped. To make normal dirt just use a hoe on the coarse dirt and then break it to make normal dirt. You won’t run out of dirt for the rest of the series! Hope that helped 👍🏻

Advice for getting some dirt: you can plant a 4x4 spruce tree on moss. So the most turn into that dirty brown like dirt(i forgot what it's called), then you can take those dirt
those called podzol. You can also craft course dirt and use shovel to make them a path block. After that, you dig them all up and do this again and again

Here's a little tip ( you probably don't need it tho): Go collect a lot of gravels from nether and grab some dirt from your portal island and make coarse dirt by combining 2 dirt blocks and 2 gravel blocks and then hoe it to get 4 dirt blocks 🙃. And there you go, solved your dirt problem forever 🥲👍
You can place any kind of block that gives a villager a job. And then the villager will follow you wherever you place the block. This will be a pretty efficient way to transport villagers
