i love how they cut the speech off right before Dworkin is able to state what a successful system of equality might look like

They just want to spare you the let-down of finding out that the solution offered is the Liberal welfare state.

Dworkin is a genius . He was The one to see the link between morals and law. Equity in law is one of the most important principles in law

5:42 "How do we solve this simultaneous equation: how do we treat people both with equal concern and respect equally their responsibilities to make decisions for themselves?".

Sorry you're having trouble with it. You have to copy and paste it, but I just tried it and it worked. Or just go to our website and search for Dworkin.

How to respect people equally and honor the sovereignty of individual liberty? Affordable education and universal healthcare would be a smart place to start-also prying democracy out of the hands of the sociopathic corporate elite.

Mass media portrays inequality as the norm in society; equality is more difficult to obtain in mass-easier in individual cases.

Where can I read your article? I've read Dworkin's work, heard him lecture a few times, and met him once. Great philosopher.

The music is offensive. It suggests "now is the time to meditate on a great issue of which, surely, you idiots will not resolve". Plato had very distinct ideas about music, I;'m sure he would have despised this.

I love that. "I beg to differ.". Just an over-polite hint at an alternate idea and then... Nothing! Sure! Differ away.
