Tbh, the whole idea of V & Johnny’s consciences melding together and or fighting over a body seriously reminds me of the ending to the original Ghost in the Shell 1995 anime where the Major & Puppet Master/ Project 2501 combine their ghosts in Motoko’a body. Tbh, I’m not sure what ending I’ll get or choose. As in the struggle between V & Johnny over who possesses the Shell/ body is both a cool and scary thought. I think it is the best written ending! Its verry melancholic. Only a box remaining of people on an monotone yet peaceful cemetery slightly secluded from this dence, superficial and fast futuristic city/world. That gave me vibes of some cyberpunk animes such as akira or ghost in the shell which i loved a lot as a kid from the 90s .... however i got that ending while deciding with johnny (maybe bc i was too much friends with him- which on the other hand is important to make that ending meaningful in the first place) and i thought it would have been 10 x more impactful if V and not johnny initiated that ending (sacrificing himself for his true friend). They should have written the ending in a way that Johnny enables V with full control over his own body for the final mission when their friendship is great....
