Give these people a job and restore a their sense of pride! The biigest mistake goverments have made in the past few decades is to park up large segments of the population (especially the young) on benefits and social housing without making them work full-time in return for it. If the state is paying them, then the state should be legally employing them. Give these poor souls a reason to get out of bed each morning!
It's great what they are doing. But it's the same old thing. What needs doing is breaking the bad cycle. So when there mums and dads don't work and drill it in there head. How do you intend to get them in to work. This is where you need street wise people to work with them not toffee snobs because they will not let there guard down.
Nice EMU, but could you teach the Social Landlords "L&H" a thing or two please as us Social tenants have to fight to get jobs done. My house doesn't even have an energy rating.
@@markburch3056 Now I'm sure you know thats not the case . many councils formed associations and control them at arms length and have the ability to bring them back in .Every council in the country is carrying voids
@@jonsnow6741 I'm talking about Grimsby and not in general to be honest as I assumed rightly or wrongly that's what the poster was referring to.. Shore line HA that was formed by the stock transfer of Grimsby/Cleethorpes Council stock was not a subsidiary of the council as far as far as I was a ware but I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong. However I do agree some councils do have there own Housing Companies set up as arm length companies under the banner of a Housing Association. I would agree all carry Voids some more than others in my experience and they need to be bought back into circulation..
@@markburch3056 I know your area and it has been decimated . I am not sure it will recover and this is reflected in the housing prices . Those in power in the mainstream parties have no intention of supporting the old fishing industry .
The east marsh is as bad as it is cos all the problem ppl of the previous so called bad areas nunny,Grange,willows etc were dumped on east marsh and it got worse a worse from the 2000s
