This is disgusting. He’s truly talking as if it was a mistake. It didn’t cost the lives of millions of people and we are still paying for it today he needs to be put in jail, the whole administration
So let me get this straight, so I guy who fails to pay some parking tickets goes to jail yet a psychopath responsible for war crimes gets acclaimed and applauded??? WOW.. This is a crazy country..
Even Diane sawyer uneasy with how he has no remorse, the hundreds of thousands of innocent lives he took from this earth...and he has the audacity to laugh with ugly smile...seriously could be the devil in disguise
@SANDST0NE We have won neither the hearts or minds of the Iraqi people. You might want to actually talk to soldiers who have served in Iraq, and not rely on the political "news" outlets that feed you propaganda. 7 people I know went over there. Four of them are still there, even though they finished their tours years ago. Talking to all of them, they all say the same thing. They do not want us there and they don't need us there. We are wasting money and lives.
The man got the job that needed to get started in the 90s rolling. Like an artist had his favorite painter, this man here, is someone's political favorite. He's a great statesman.
yeah, but that was attributed to old-fashioned accounting and mismanagement of government funds, it was announced multiple times, as well as the day before 9/11, but it wasn’t concretely traced to a sudden disappearance. obviously the government may have censored certain things, but that’s what i’ve gathered through a bit of research
Later in 2002, when asked, Rumsfeld said (the pending invasion of) "Iraq has nothing to do with oil." He was instrumental in the propaganda perpetrated on the American public who in their post 9-11 fear wanted so much to trust in their government. Ironically, the disdain so many (especially of the GOP) have for Obama's foreign policy work may have more to do with the incompetence and duplicitous actions and words of the Bush administration than bald racism.
I don't care what anyone says...Rumsfeld is a good man who did what he thought was right...he made some mistakes, but I welcome anyone to tell me how they could have done a better job without the gift of hind sight.
You don't care about facts either. Or decency, morality, or much of anything else. These people couldn't commit to a single positive act if they spent the entirety of the rest of their lives committed to that singular goal. They are wholely corrupted, without any hint of humanity remaining.
He still tried to kill them and there is no denying that...in fact he, too, was trying to wipe them off the map. War is complicated but truth is discerned in all. The topic issue was Iraq in possession of weapons of mass destruction which they had, used, and could reassemble.
There are two things still not clear: (1) whether WMD was in Iraq at the time of UNSC Resolution 1441 (2) Why Saddam did not cooperate with WMD inspectors a the time of said resolution if he did not have any WMD. No (1) above cannot deter a war because there were other factors, e.g. 17 UNSC resolutions Saddam defied. No (2) above can be a cause of war without any evidence of MDW. As Mr. Rumsfeld once said, solution of one problem creates a new problem. The number of loss of human lives in the war is not acceptable, but leaving Saddam as was was less acceptable. It was Saddam who made a war unavoidable. Mr. Rumsfeld did what he had to do for us all. Let's not blame him for taking our burden on his shoulders.
watch X-CIA whistle blower Susan lindauer's speech on you tube...the video where she is wearing a red sweater. She was the CIA's chief negitiator with Sadam during the period of weapons inspectors. you will be blown away and she will be one of your new American heros after you see what the CIA and FBI did to her, but more importantly this will help you understand what was really going on there at that time.
@SANDST0NE Yes, the world is a complicated place. And yes, Rumsfeld is a smart man. However, the American Military can't fight a conventional war and must rely on air support for any major endeavor. When Rumsfeld and others opt for a war of choice knowing that drones and missiles often miss their mark, it's hard to be so sympathetic. Sorry, "Collateral damage" of 1 million dead is not an acceptable margin of error.
"1 million dead" was not on Rumsfeld's watch. Iraq was completely stabilized by 2009. The chaotic debacle in Iraq at present is the failure of the Obama Administration after proceeding with the Bush Administration's negotiated withdrawal in December 2011 even though violence had been reoccurring on a small-scale again as early as then, until the insurgency escalated with the capture of Mosul leading to redeployment in 2014. The Iraq War as managed by Rumsfeld, however, was widely successful.
Rumsfeld. If it wasn't for him, we may not have won the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. MacNamara lost Vietnam by losing the hearts and minds of the Vietnamese people. Rumsfeld learned from history. Sawyer is a piece of work isn't she? She hasn't ANY clue about doing for others other than oneself. She's perfect for this generation of the self-absorbed, but Rumsfeld doesn't suffer from this common affliction. Sawyer can't see past her own nose. We need fewer Sawyers and more Rumsfelds.
I look into his eyes and think that the whole lizard conspiracy thing might be insulting to lizards everywhere.
😭😂
That's a evil man right there
Stave carell was an amazing politician
This is disgusting. He’s truly talking as if it was a mistake. It didn’t cost the lives of millions of people and we are still paying for it today he needs to be put in jail, the whole administration
