Shilin mooks very colorful ,interesting and chill. I saw a lot of them wearing those facemasks. I guess in Asian countries they wear them all the time for sanitary reasons. The food looks delicious. The Ximending Night Market seems to have all the popular namebrands. I would have had a hard time not to go to every shop to buy some Nikes. Adidas or smartphones. Funny how that friendly guy ran off after showing you what the line was for. That food must be really delicious. The rain was indeed pouring down in the second to last one. Crazy to see Costco and Birckenstock there. I find the people polite and respectable. Very nice video

Thanks! People there are super helpful and friendly to foreign travelers. You are right. They wear masks for sanitary reasons even before the pandemic. When I was in Japan, almost everybody wore a mask even outdoor.

Thank you. You need cash there. They close around 11:00pm. I was there in December.

They are very chinese. And a lot of them. They have a little bit long faces, while the mailine china is more mongolean round.

Thank you for sharing your observation! It is really fascinating how diverse and culturally rich Taipei night markets are. They have a blend of Taiwanese and Chinese influences. Your ex-wife experience working at the embassy must have offered valuable insights into the country culture and diplomatic ties.

The food is very delicious, so many options to choose from. It's good you visit in the winter time, cuz during the summer Taiwan gets very hot and humid and too many mosquitoes.

Absolutely, the winter weather made the night market experience much more enjoyable! I can imagine the heat and mosquitoes could be challenging during the summer.
