Literally just saw this movie.... Simply.. if you can believe this... "I heard Cas had a ponytail in a DA movie" that's all it took.. & now here I am. Thank you for the connections to DAI, it's always fun to get an easter egg. Thank you for all the hard work & content.
Cassandra also mentions in dialogue with Varric that Regalyan died at the Conclave. I think that's the only time he's referred to directly by name in DAI?
@@WatchmanGamingLore I think the only other reference to him period is the comment she has when recapping Dawn of the Seeker that the mages who helped her got rewards and many of them died at the Conclave, but that doesn't refer to him directly. She also says that he was "dashing" which. She sounds more into him in hindsight than she did in the movie but that might be the nostalgia talking.
I actually watched this movie a few years ago. It got me interested indeed because of Cassandra Pentaghast. I too noticed that the film was gloomy/darkish in colors. I guess the film makers tried to keep the same atmosphere as it was in DAO and DA2. But games were less colorful due to limits of game engines and not b/c the world of Thedas itself is colorless. Thanks for pointing out the connections to DAI or rather mentions of film events in DAI. I didn't make them myself. I salute you for your deep knowledge of the lore and such high attention to details! Thank you! All in all I agree it was a mediocre movie but it was good to get it. I wish we could have more better productions. Dragon Age lore is so rich and extensive. I wish somebody would undertake more projects like this but with help and under supervision of the game developers. I wonder what engine is used in development of DAD. I need to read more about it. ☺️ Thanks as always for the interesting review 👍

Ah, good catch, I had forgotten about that. I remembered that she mentioned him in dialogue and I think that’s his only reference.
