Finally a channel that used a quality in their test of this car. I am tired of seeing big channels running low end LIPOs. I knew JayTee wouldn't let us down! Great review!
Showing great potential, foam tires, take toe out on front to parallel, lower front suspension & raise the rear suspension a bit.
I didn't even notice that. You're right. Toe out on the front is just asking for this little car to be twitchy. Does it have adjustable caster? If so, adding some positive caster along with a little toe in 1/2degree) on the front might help it feel better too.

75...congrats. And, as you said, there's still more room to gear up. Wondering if any of these will break into the triple-digits. As much as I'd like to enter their speed challenge, once I receive mine, I'm probably going to take it somewhat easy to start. 🤙🏼

I hate to say it but in enjoying everyone’s speed tests on this car.. they all end the same way normally LOL and most people aren’t using the high speed gearing. I knew these cars would be smashed to oblivion when rlaarlo challenged everyone LOL
I'm excited to tune and to see what people do to improve handling. The controller hyper, definitely need a gyro. I seen that the sway bar screws are too tight not allowing it to function as a sway bar. It'll be nice to see what tires jaytee runs

Lookin good! The asymmetric weight and aero of the gps, while probably not a huge factor; may make it a bit more difficult to keep it tidy at speed. Perhaps even the 4s pack weight is throwing it off a bit, how balanced are these stock out the box? Looks like a good car so far. I’m excited to run mine. Their RTR brushless buggy has been solid so far.

Not bad for a 10th scale. Those smc batteries are good. Compare that car to other brand miles per hour to dollar you are getting a very good deal👍🏽
Have to put that GPS another location ! The weight of the Rlaarlo with that GPS top left almost guaranteed to have wind resistance also your weight is os all left as well ... altogether good runs !!!

It'll do 75 on 3s go up in pinion size and down in spur size and wider tires so its stable above 70mph..
I can't wait for mine to ship. I went with the brushless aluminum chassis. I figured the extra weight might plant the car better at higher speeds. I think that ESC is only 3s capable though?
4S, for the CF one.
Still too low, considering some of their upgrade motors are 6S.
I only see the 120A ESC on their site.
The none gyro controller also says that they’re made specifically for the car and no other will work (according to their site.)

It'll actually fit inside the car. I was probably just being lazy and putting it on the outside of it which could have also caused it to pick up unnecessary air with that air hitting that GPS
Defiantly squarely at that speed ..... Id say your problem is the tyres ballooning resulting in not enough grip...foams for sure.
You should get a battery powered leaf blower and clear the road first !!!
I recently saw your test run on the new rlaarlo 787 stock out if the box and then with the dual motor set up but it seems like the 917 out of the box is faster on single motors stick out the box on 4s true ?
They need to stop playing around and make a 1/8 car Jay Tee! 💯💯💯💯

Cool car but, seems a bit too small to be taken to the speeds advertised on the higher end models. These cars would be awesome for an old school 1/12 style carpet track. Your channel is the best on youtube and I enjoy your video's and your commentary. Keep em' coming:) Long live JayTee RC!
The platform is capable of speeds beyond Rlaarlo's claimed speeds, John Linneman has already hit 155mph (248kph) with his AK917 with upgraded electronics & foam wheels.
Yeah, 260mm touring car is going to struggle on most surfaces when you get up over 50mph. Not much point in trying where I live, way too rough unless you find a fresh stretch of blacktop. That carbon chassis is tough though...

120A is the highest they offer (unless I missed it while searching for one.)
They have few motor upgrades, but the top ESC is 120A 🤷🏻♂️
I know there are alternative options, I just thought it would be ideal for the same company to produce stronger ESC with the more powerful motors that they offer.

Good to know about them working on the ESC for the 6S.
I rather go with their product instead of taking alternative route.
And hopefully they resolve the issues with transmitter cutting off mid drive, causing to lose control; as it happened to several “test youtubers” already.

My recommendation is that you don't buy anything from this brand, I bought the AK 917 in carbon fiber for my son, and these sons of bitches from Rlaarlo sent me the car with the steering wrong, and when I go to adjust it I realize that it There is a screw missing from the servo horn, and when I removed the servo horn I realized that the small teeth it has are completely worn out, this is because the materials they use are garbage, apart from the signal loss problems with the controller Rlaarlo is a mafia now I have my poor son suffering for not being able to use the car, and the worst of all is that Rlaarlo's sons of bitches don't want to take care of it, and the car is less than a month old and has not been used nor a battery for the simple fact that with the steering like this it is unusable.
Be aware and dont buy this car! I am sure much more problems will show off. Will be hard to get spare parts and you can not hold the car straight at speed runs because its simply too small and it will need a Gyro for sure! Its a carpet racer NOT a car for parking lots or street you will destroy your chassis because its simply NOT a street basher. Way to low to the ground, perfekt for indoor carpet
