- Critically ill children boarded buses outside the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis Thursday before being evacuated from the war-ravaged Gaza Strip into Egypt through the Kerem Shalom Israeli crossing.
It is the first evacuation from Gaza since the Rafah border crossing was closed in early May, when Israeli forces took over the Palestinian side of the terminal.
According to Mohammad Zakut, a senior official in Gaza's health ministry, nearly 5,000 patients have been evacuated since the war began, but 25,000 more "still require treatment abroad.”

The parents look well fed. So far, every malnourished-looking child has been suffering from a very serious medical condition requiring advanced medical care which is no longer available. Lack of food is not the problem.

Egypt had organized a hospital for severely injured Gazans in Sinai for 7-8 months now... But nobody was talking about it because they wanted to make people believe that Gazans were all alone.
Vast majority were alone. It took much $$ to leave Gaza. Very few had it

2) this is how trafficking happens. Just like the US claiming to help migrants, many of the kids are being taken, never to be seen again, under the guise of "help." There is no good or valid scenario where a parent cannot accompany their child. I would rather keep my kid with me in any danger than out of my hands where I can't help her. This is so sad.

Good Egypt finally accepted to give some help. Before the war it was Israel whom helped in the difficult cases. When the voluntary helpers (transport-guidance) got massacred 7 / 10, the severe sick hadnt no longer any effective help no more if the local hospitals werent good enough. That is why we saw this number of extremely emaciated persons dying from terminal diseases... Hopefully they can now get help from Egypt instead. :)
There’s currently over 20,000 missing children in Gaza. Where are they? Are they alive or dead. The United Nations should be allowed to investigate where these children are. For the love of god can the Israelis show some compassion. Probably not.
Big catastrophes tends to cause lotsa of orphans. A picture: I saw a couple of AlJazeera clips; two kids in lowest teenages are telling; my parents are dead; Im now the alone caretaker of all my younger siblings... At first, I took it as propaganda: of course there are orphans, but there must be lotsa of humanitarian organisations too whom take care of orphans! UNRWA / UN, I know christian Diakonia is there, Red Cross, muslim Umma, probably even Hamas has something, possibly even Israel is represented with some jewish help organisation... So, AlJazeera was again using the terrible tragedy as clickbait. But now when we hear there are 20 000 kids missing - a terrible though strucks me: what if there ARENT no organisations properly taking care of orphans??? IF so, of course they orphans and children gone astray will tend to disappear...
