Nice clip mate, what was the snails pace all about and coming to a stop, problems with the crossing out on Dooen Rd or just a very long consist ? Cheers, Andy in Adelaide.
@@gashy1000 XPT trains heading North of Wauchope have been replaced by bus services for years now. Train breakdowns have been rife. Dear Lord. Would you look at the rails in the opening shot. Humps and bumps and wiggles worse than the most neglected rails in the worst 4th world country. Zero maintenance for 100 years. This is a terrible indictment on the standard of infrastructure maintenance in Australia. The platform is falling to bits. What a disgrace.
yes horsham station and yard is not the best looking for a station that is used by the overland and SCT for crew changes. ARTC are a bit slow on fixing things in western vic, the grain lines to hopetoun and rainbow have both been done up by Vline
Agree, well even worse than a branch line. The Dunolly yard is similar if not worse as well, I get that most of this infrastructure doesn't get used much if at all but hell does it make the place look ordinary or just a total lack of any care what so ever. cheers, now that I've got that off my chest.
This railway would make Bolivia look good. Don't tell me this was the express train. Is Australia big or is it just it takes longer to get anywhere?

I always thought that Adelaide was only broard gauge line... The extra rail into Brisbane is standard gauge.

Vic is broke ..you can thank Daniel Andrews for that
@ seriously!!! 🤮🤮🤮
@ACDZ123 err the Standard gauge is maintained by ARTC who are a Federal agency. Nothing to do with the Vic Government
Why is it going so slowly?
would you want to go faster on those lines?

Like cooked spaghetti laid on sand. Is this India ? Boring video.

Its not the best, 2nd track is the loop and 3rd is a dead end road for track machines, heritage tours etc
