Umm sorry but I have to ask, do you own or have ever been around chickens?? Please enlighten the rest of us how they should be cared for because this is exactly how I and thousands of other people care for them. People and chickens aren't the same. Chickens are immune to things that we may not be. It's not so much the poop that is a bad thing but rather the moisture that creates mold and such, hence why pine shavings are added. They will literally eat their own poop and it doesn't affect them....lol
