Yeah it's the Lackland AFB in San Antonio Texas. He enlisted but didn't make it... Due to medical reasons.
Awesome song, as a retired Air Force I can relate why he wrote about his unforgettable experience during his BMT (Basic Military Training). The experience is design to shell shock everyone, being away from your famalies and friends, for 6 weeks you are removed from all the things you take for granted, comfort food, bed, shower, alcohol, cigarettes, phone. You only get issued what you need to survive, hence the term basic training. You have to rely on each other to survive, no one survives basic training on their own and that’s a fact. You will forget most people you served with along the way but you will remember the brothers that are with you during basic training. That’s why he gave a shoutout to his airmen at Lackland. Fun facts, only 2% of the population gets to serve in the US Military, I give him props for enlisting although it didn’t work out for him, someone up there must have got better plans for him and it looks like that plan is unfolding before our eyes.

New Zealand for a US Military basic Training? Lol... its in Texas. I can relate to his short experience in the military. Too many vaccines and some die like the Antrax vaccine when they did it intially. But when in medical hold the military will make your like missirable. Latrine is term for toilets. I had to clean those comodes bare hands one time when I was punished, Article 15 UCMJ.... so I can feel him. Basic training is all mental. Its like the military will undress you naked and dress you to make you a man. Indoctrination. Not so much strict in the Airforce though, but the goal is the same.
Spot on! You have to take those shots every freaking year so if your body rejects those poison then you really have no chance of getting in. Walter Reid will send you home but not after you pay back what the government has spent on you by being a slave in the Medhold just like what happened to this brave young man. There's no shame on being sent home, EZ is part of the freaking 1% of Americans who at least TRIED to serve the Nation.
