    Awesome stuff as always Marty. I'm glad someone else appreciates this lowly little DD-3. It's such a great little pedal I use it mostly in a "reverb" like this even though my amp has reverb I dont know why I just like the sound and versatility.

  • @ronlight7013
    @ronlight7013 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Conceptually, I totally get it. But it didn't sound quite "right" to me. Maybe I just prefer reverb to a short delay. Or *maybe* an analog delay pedal would be more to my liking.

    Could you do a review of modelling amps? Any opinions on those?

    • @Acroanidd
      @Acroanidd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know I don't have the reputation of Marty. However there are several great options for modelling amps. I prefer the Boss Katana stuff mostly for the price and it's very simple, you don't need to mess with it to get a usable tone. Others to look at are Line 6 Spyder, Marshall Code, Blackstar ID Core and Fender Mustang GT. They all are great but your best bet is to always play with them yourself in store if possible to see what one works best for you. Like for me I wanted an amp that was very simple to get a good tone and the fact that it could do acoustic as well made the difference. I didn't need all the fancy computer stuff, but knowing that i can swap "pedals" and move them around the chain is a bonus.

    This is the only way I use delay. Feels weird when I turn it off. It just adds the fullness in the air and it's not overbearing g or gets in the way it's still audible but ever so slightly and sits beneath my playing..I have two pedalboards but prefer analog delay...I have adm2w on one board and rotate my other board in that has an mxr carbon copy on it
