Great reaction - that was so much better than the compilation video you saw last time and you got to see how BABYMETAL can really start their shows. As you said, it isn't just about the music, this is theatre. Also what a way for Su-metal to make her entrance on her return to and first concerts with BABYMETAL in her home town to celebrate her 20th birthday. As Rick Wagner explained, the lights in the crowd were LED bulbs embedded into the masks (like a 3rd eye) everybody was given to wear on their way in.
Ayeeee! Nice, this is the one, SuMetal's 20 Birthday was really special with this epic intro. Now you need the live at Budokan 2021 to have another blast.🦊🤘🔥 "This intro is like a movie." And now you getting the idea of what BM is all about.😉
⚡ 💕 / 🦊 🦊 🦊 Attendees were given a cape, a mask and a pendant with the XX symbol. That's "20" in Roman numerals, to signify Su-metal's 20th birthday. The 'LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX' concerts celebrated that milestone. These December 2nd and 3rd 2017 performances were the first and (so far) only BABYMETAL concerts held in Su's home prefecture of Hiroshima. Her staff also had the XX symbol. The masks were lit up by remote control. If you're still wondering how a blast of light can represent despair, consider where Su was born and these shows were held.
@@xsezz It's easier to get a sense of the theme if you have a chance to watch the full concert. The intro before 'No Rain, No Rainbow' is heartbreaking. And I have to say that you figure out a lot more than most reactors do.
@@rickwagner- Thank you so much, I try to pay attention to the comments, LoL! I didn't even realize what the XX stood for, until you mentioned that it was Su's 20th birthday. I had no idea. Now the XX makes sense, as does the light.
@@xsezz The masks were three eyed fox masks and the third eye lit up like in the story before the song started, the font they use is their own font, it is used a lot at concerts but you may not realise it is writing, usually it says BABYMETAL DEATH. If you purchase something from their store the package will come sealed with packing tape with that design. If you want to see a non logo version (recommended) there is one on the official BABYMETAL youtube channel. Another thing, Su does not become the Messiah until the end of the concert when she sacrifices herself during BABYMETAL DEATH then goes on to sing one of the best arrangements of The One and her voice brings back hope to the people.
One of the few instances when its good to cave into peer pressure....🤣🤣🤣🤣 Can't wait to see what they're gonna do for their upcoming concert... After such a long hiatus they need something big to announce their return....🤘🦊🤘
Well they have invoked the devil and been crucified multiple times so I don't know what's left in their bag of tricks. Our unforgettable angel of dance making a guest appearance would do it for me :)
This is no doubt the best concert opener I've ever seen! #notacult It's basically a huge movie set with the entire crowd involved as actors. I think the performance at Legend S is the best one, but the one at Budokan 2021 for the 10th Anniversary was incredible too. The show itself is amazing, but the theme is right up my alley. Edit: I just watched this again in high quality without watermark. Holy... I wouldn't mind if BABYMETAL started producing full length movies alongside their music. Did you know they will show the upcoming concerts (end of this month) in cinemas around Japan on the 23rd of February? I hope they expand on it, I would definitely go watch it locally.
Great reaction, thanks! One of my favorite show openers ever. The performances of "ITNO" from the majority of the Budokan 2021 concerts (6 / 10) are also really amazing. And... just in case... #notacult

Thank you! This intro was a blast!
The stage is unreal; SU-METAL can awe just by standing there.
Absolutely!

Thank you for the explanation. The XX makes sense now. Yeah, true, I get it about the light of despair now. I didn't think about it.

@@chrisharris1522 Cool, cool. So like the whole concert tells a story from start to finish. Thank you for the information. :)

excellent content dude, I highly recommend "From Dusk Till Dawn" live at Budokan 2021.
Imagine if this was the opening ceremony for the Olympics, (close to the same time) and Su's fireball lights the Olympic flame
Best opening ever 🔥🦊🔥
For real!

Not a cult 🤘👑🦊
In The Name Of:-
First introduced in the band’s live performances around 2018, “IN THE NAME OF” acts as the introduction to the album’s second half. Babymetal stage production are just out of this world 🌏.
Immediately setting the tone with dark choir vocals and bells, the song is a heavily influenced by the legendary thrash metal 🤘 band from Belo Horizonte Minas Gerais Brazil, "Sepultura-inspired chugfest dedicated to the Fox God namely Sepultura "Roots Bloody Roots", the deity that, per the band’s lore, created BABYMETAL and set them on the quest for world domination.
Lyrics Overview:-
Night and Day
Heaven and Hell
Joy and Sorrow
Light and Shadow
Praise be to fire
Praise be to light
Praise be to hope
Praise be to dark
What is dead may never die
What is dead may never die (die)
In danger, in danger, in danger, in danger
In danger, in danger, in danger, in danger
Night and Day
Heaven and Hell
Joy and Sorrow
Light and Shadow
Praise be to fire
Praise be to light
Praise be to hope
Praise be to dark
What is dead may never die
The forces against me, will all be destroyed
Death, Queen, God, Devil
In the name of the Goddess
In the name of justice
In the name of Metal
In the name of the Fox God
In danger, in danger, in danger, in danger
