- The Chesapeake Bay Bridge connects the Baltimore & Washington, D.C. metro areas with the Delmarva Peninsula. The bridge is also a vital route for summer vacationers destined for the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

I love these videos so much .. Like honestly, I go get something to eat and sit down and relax while watching these, lol !
I always loved the roads and scenic highways of maryland! :)
OMG I drove over this bridge once and I was so scared. I have a huge fear of heights and driving over bridges. Never again! My hands are sweating just looking at this video.
I feel you!
I can't hardly look at this bridge without my stomach trying to crawl out of my mouth. I would just as soon drive the one over the Susque River because at least there's a passing lane on it. The prospect of driving over this AT ALL makes me worry that it might fall out from under me while I'm on it and it's a LONG drop into the water.
Yeah I’ll agree with you there, that Eastbound side is only two lanes, so I would prefer to drive over the westbound side instead
I always loved the roads and scenic highways of maryland! :) I'm also originally from maryland and i know every route in the free lance state in my mind.
Brandon Johnson I’m not from there though I love Hairspray the movies and musicals and love the scenery here and the bridge and will plan to go there
I love crossing this bridge. It's not that long. Yess it is high however something about the view I just love..... now the bridge tunnel one just makes me uneasy for that long period of time
I'm getting dizzy and panicky just watching this. Omg.
One of the most scariest bridges ever made.
@LoveTheCity123 so glad to see that you all are enjoying my posts! i honestly do the same sometimes myself!
the bridge is on an uphill trajectory until the center of the main suspension span (approx 190 ft. high total). the bridge you're thinking of is the Bay Bridge-Tunnel between Cape Charles and Norfolk, VA...
190 ft..wow! Well, the 1000 ft. height of the Royal Gorge Bridge leaves a lot of VERY strong close seconds, and at nearly two-hundred feet high (whew) the bridges in question certainly are a record setter. 300,, 700 feet high would be VERY respectable..
Is it my imagination or does that bridge just keep climbing and climbing??? Also, I thought this bridge had a tunnel...Where is that in relation to this?
I mentioned something like this above Shannon. A lot of people such as myself, confuse these...This one IS also called William Preston Lane Memorial Bridge.
Shannon Mobley And yes it does climb higher
Ugh..I keep getting confused, I confuse this with the Virgina 17 and 1/2 mile long bridge/tunnell crossing.
Lots of people do.
You have CBB (this) and CBBT
My aunt would not cross this bridge without crying
Not excited about crossing this for first time next week
So... How was it?
Yeah that's what I wanted to know. No update? I hope that him not responding wasn't the result of a negative trip over that thing
It appears to be that way
I fell off
Yay... He's alive yall
THE SCARIEST BRIDGE IN THE WORLD
I agree with you it was scary
thats a long ride no thank you
