I know this is 2 weeks too late, but after rewatching this and having this stuck in my head for a good while, I have decided to write an explanation for this situation. Also, if this doesn’t fit for this au I am so sorry.
Explanation:
The Dream SMP is a role play for entertainment. While role playing, due to actions some of them have to perform they use nicknames, hence Dream and Sapnap. Some use their real names because they can differentiate between the character and their usual self. However, Dream is slipping into C!Dream when they aren’t role playing and starting to forget things about his actual self. Drista and Tommy realise this and aren’t sure what to do. They realised he was missing while wandering around and went to go find him. Then this happens.
So, how was that. I noticed it just said siblings au so I just wanted to quickly add this. I might write something based if this if Dweam doesn’t mind.
Is it okay if I write something based off this video? I’ll credit you when if I do and add a link to your TH-cam.

I Have the same problem- See, I use Weird names Like In real life I have a name and online i have a name online If Yukan or Pierce or Elven So when someone called me by my real name I turned around And They said, "Hey #####" and I suprised and like "who they talking about-" Then I realized it was me and I Said hi back and started laughing-
