There was nothing heavy on the “Black Album “ 🤣 just ballads and hard rock songs . We went from Dyers eve to “enter sandman” ? First four 👍🏻 after that it was a different band with different fans

@@33cattt49weird...cause I like all of their music...probably because I just enjoy music...and I understand that a band will change over time.
My favorite album is justice. But nothing makes me want to smash someone's face as much as the sad but true riff. It's heavy, it's beefy, it's thick, and it's aggressive. It doesn't have to be fast to be heavy, sometimes it just needs to be "sludge". And the black album did that perfectly.
A real fan will support the first 4 albums, and the black album, along with load, and reload, and st anger.
A really real fan listens to lulu......I am not that fan.
The balck album is a heavy thick sludgey album because that's what they wanted it to be...and they achieved that. And it does have good songs on it. No matter what the snobs say.

James only says that you can't play it like Jason because that's disrespectful for Jason, so you have to find another way to do it right but just not like Jason. That's why he suggests Rob tapes a pick under his finger, so it's a compromise to get the same sound but not the exact same way Jason did it. And Rob counters by saying he can use the back of his fingers, the nails, to act like a pick. That's really cool.

So predictable and cringe. Come up with something new at this point its beyond played out. James and Lars ARE Metallica in every way shape or form since 1981. Those 2 guys you mention have 10 contributions total between the 2 of them out of their 100s of songs. They don't have much of anything to do with metallicas overall success or their songwriting. That doesn't fit your overused narrative though that James and Lars are these selfish evil entities while Dave and Jason are the poor pitiful me duo who was DONE SO WRONG by those evil Metallica guys how dare they do that. Like I said man come up with something new a fresh and stop sounding like a blind sheep. Hating on Metallica doesn't make you cool.

My reason for thinking this? On the night Cliff died, James walked for miles in freezing temperatures attempting to locate this "black ice" the driver of their van claimed to have hit.
It was James calling out Cliff's name in a drunken stupor hours later, trying to find him. Which would have been pretty heartbreaking to hear.

It's like James forgets that Jason was the right bassist at the right time, and many of us wish he had never left. That's nothing against Rob, as he's a phenomenal bassist, but to me the Newstead era will always be their 2nd best lineup, after the Cliff era. But maybe, in addition to the reasons that we know, he left because he saw the writing on the wall, as Metallica just isn't the same band, creatively speaking, that they were in the 80s and 90s. Their albums since then aren't the masterpieces they were, containing some real duds of songs. Sure, their shows are still amazing and they rock just as well as they did 30 years ago, playing the songs we all know and love, but in their ability to write great songs they lost something. I haven't loved an entire album since Load, and I've liked every album since then a bit less than the one before, with the exception of St. Anger, which to me had only one decent song... the title track. Eh... this is just one man's opinion.

They have done 3 good albums since then some of yall don't pay attention. If you don't like Metallica or only 80s stuff why are yall still on every Metallica video watching away in 2023. If they been so bad for 30 plus years why are you still here? Do you just love to spread hate?

Jason was the best thing that happened to them after Cliffs death. Metallica hasn’t been the same since Jason walked away.

You know I think my problem is that still to this day, at least in every interview I’ve seen, James and Lars still don’t fully own up to the fact of their part and fault in Jason leaving and for muting his bass on Justice. They get close, yet they still don’t fully admit the full circumstances.

Robert Trujillo is the very definition of a "scab worker". For those who don't know, Robert was hired by Ozzy to record over Bob Daisley's immortal bass tracks on the first 2 Ozzy records. Who would dare to do such a thing but a scab? NO integrity whatsoever!
