Hi again.. Im so close to buy al materials to cladd some pvc around my garage. One question your end trims that your using was this a cheaper option because you theres other types of end trims that i can see on eurocell website. Im only asking because i dont know what end trims to use. Also im not to sure how to finish the cladding above a door opening??? Thanks
On this job I used a 50x50 angle trim and used adhesive and screws with caps to hold in place. You can get 2 part edge and angle trims which work out more costly. Eurocell is expensive also, I don’t use those anymore. Above doors and windows use vent strip and angle trim like I used in this video above window- not sure if that’s visible though.
Thanks. Don’t need breathable felt against a brick wall if that’s what you mean. But yes needs vents top and bottom. Or the pvc can warp in hot weather with the sun on it. 👍
@@davesalter thank you. One more question. It's a lean to garage roof with the side metal edges of the roof that come down with the edge pieces that would cover up the front PVC cladding and I'm wondering how and where would I put the vent at the top??? Thanks again for your time and expertise
Not sure I fully understand the detail referred to but maybe a gap of approx and inch from any overhanging edge. Like I had to do in the video, you’ll notice there is a gap between the fascia and my cladding to allow air flow.
If it’s cladded against wood maybe membrane is good idea. But fitting insulation if not priced for wouldn’t be fitted automatically. You’d need to ask for it. But sometimes there isnt enough room if also getting around window sills etc.
No need for membrane or space for insulation. It’s insulated in the wall cavity so that’s not a problem. Just need space for venting as explained in the video. Thanks for watching.
Thanks.. I'm going to give this a try...

@@davesalter thank you Dave,
Your right eurocell is very expensive and they are not helpful at all. Thanks
Can you tell jevthe diffrence in price for the cirner trims you used compared tobthe 2 part corner trims??
The one I used is probably less than half the price of the two part one.
Hey mate you got any recomendations on a roof sealer for felt roofs
Something like Acropol may do the trick or a better product is Cromar Hydrosil although roof must be dry for the latter product.
Do I still a vent even when I've got breathable felt with battens for a garage wall?
Thanks. Don’t need breathable felt against a brick wall if that’s what you mean. But yes needs vents top and bottom. Or the pvc can warp in hot weather with the sun on it. 👍

Can you tell me the code for that vent trim??? You did get it from eurocell??
I haven’t shopped at eurocell for years. It’s just a cladding vent trim. Search it. You can also get starter and vent trim in the same unit.
@@davesalterwhere did you buy your cladding if you dont mind me asking?

Sons just had his top half gable cladded with no insulation or membrane and it's really noisy now in bedroom,???
