Hi!! I just wanted to congratulate you and to thank you for documenting your journey. I started to follow you because I was also training for this race, and even though it was not 50km, the weather made it all more difficult. It was a pleasure to watch some images from the race again, you edited a great video, and had a great race!
Hi Bars! Congratulations on finishing the race and thanks for sharing your journey! I followed your training in the same time that I was doing mine for the exact same race (the 50k). Prior to the event, about 2 days before, with a friend we attempted to hike to the Wildstrubel peak and I can say that I felt relieved when UTMB announced the removal of that section. It would have been dangerous for sure. Nice to see again the images from the race day! It's impressive that you managed to run and film at the same time with all the slippery ground. I could barely stay on my feet even with the walking poles 😅 It was a great race nonetheless. Hope to see you on another one. All the best ✌
Thx Lucian! I agree, it was a nice day and we will keep the Wildstrubelhutte for some other day. My next stop will be The Arc of Attriction in January, doing the 80k. Will do a series of videos again.
Hey Bas, congratulation for your race ! You actually caught me on film haha (guy with red vest and beanie, on the left at 3:28) I was wondering, though, you mentioned in your video that you needed to go back to Adelboden after the race, did you have to take the whole trains / bus trip like I had to do ? If yes, I heard that UTMB was charging back the tickets we had to pay, but no one answered to the emails I sent, so did you had any luck with that ?
The snow made the run tough but also so beautiful. Epic race! Congratulations!
Hey Chad, yes it did! I still get a big smile on my face when I think back

Thx @Cecilia! I’m still on my pink runners cloud after last Saturday. What about you?

Very nice environment to run in with all the snow!
Yes, it is/was ;-)

I thought about walking back (16k). But managed to catch a ride with somebody in the car. So I was lucky. Nice that you are in the film!!
How did you get back in the end? By train? When I left I think there still was a group of around 200 people waiting, but the train was out of service
