The boy yes can sing but no one who can replace the melodic sound of Modupi. Modupi must be counted amongst the greats such Miles Davies(Jazz)Carl Anderson(Acid Jazz),Luciano Pavarotti and many more. This guy has epitomized the genre of Sepostola music. He needs to be celebrated in our lifetime and deserves a lifetime award for his immense contribution
Medupe is incomparable it would be unfair on his son to compare the two. I am yet to meet an apostolic vocalist that can compose, rearrange songs, give out vocals or advise on the type of vocals to use then sing his own vocals then right after recording change the song because its already recorded. Change songs on stage, Make timeless hits, make up a song in studio. Barorisi's music is well ahead of time, personally the time for them is yet to come, Medupe will be bigger once gone.
We have individuals who are a demonstration of how great heavenly forces are , and through those individuals we realise the is a story to be told, a mysterious story. It's not very clear but you look at certain individuals and you can tell that this is a special human being, and through them our faith is further strengthened. They hard to come by and hard to find often time. I think they find it hard and increasingly hard to relate to some of us as their ahead of time, it's almost like they have being here before. These are familiar surroundings but they well ahead of time. I often wonder who will take Modupi's place in the apostolic genre and I came to this conclusion that no one will take his place but maybe they will be another leading light that wil come forth to heal those broken hearts not to replace him but just to say I am also here and I am a just as talented. Just like Micheal Jordan in basketball everyone is saying whose gonna be the shinning light, whose gonma take over him we don't know only time will tell, maybe in the next life time.
