I saw this show at Wembley in 1982. This song struck me as of course we had not heard it before. I think the arrangement may well have been different to the final version. My favourite Asia song after all these years.
I second Shy; this song was never what it was intended to be, I think Wetton said as much but can't remember the exact quote. Thanks for posting though, this is classic!
This is a cool looking setup and you can see Geoff on the keyboards quite well - but my God I'd hate to be turned around like that and unable to see the other band members while trying to keep the songs together.
I saw them do this on their first USA tour in San Francisco,Ca The Warfield. Carl wasn't at the drums at first,he was kneeling over a Linn Drum Machine and pounding out the 7/4 rhythm at the right corner of the drum riser, and once the song got going he jumped back on the drums. I thought this song was killer because nobody had heard it yet,but when the Alpha version came out,all the guts of the tune were removed and it really was a let down.
What a great song and incredible solo by Howe. Love the way he keeps it close to the album version.
This is incredible , beautiful , and unique. Those first 2 albums were magical.
The FIRST album is magical. Alpha has three good songs..
Classic and beloved ASIA. When they played in México this song was missed. A favorite of mine
Kind regards
Saw these guys on this tour in 83, New Haven. I wish like hell there was good audio of this tour with the original lineup. They were fantastic.
This is classic Asia, so good. They are fantastic live.
THANKS, THANKS, THANKS ... SENSEI !
No words ! Just "feeling" !

Was at their first tour in May 1982 at a packed arena in Montreal. Great show, they played that song.

Wow! It's amazing to think that someone dragged their huge-ass video camera from 1983 into a concert! LOL
2023 still listening
当時、私は、統合失調症の真っ只中酷い、ライフ、スタイルで、テリーポジオの、まねしてました。ばすどら、つーばすにあこがれてました。

Wow! But why did they arrange Geoff's bank with his back to the audience?
