Di Stepano over Cruyff is an absolute joke. Cruyff carried Barcelona and Ajax to the top. He is the main reason why those clubs are as big as they are today. his playing style and way of seeing the game is still superior today and being carried on by the likes of guardiola. Di Stefano's 5 consecutive champions leagues are incredible but let's not forget that he got there because of a loaded real side that also contained the likes of puskas. He was never able to carry his less talented argentine national squad outside of the group stage of a world cup.
Hi Tim, sorry but this is a deeply misguided comment. I'm certainly not going to argue that Johan Cruyff wasn't a brilliant footballer, one of the greatest of all time in fact, but when you say he 'carried Barcelona to the top', what top would that be? One La Liga, one Copa del Rey and no European Cups in five seasons. By comparison, Di Stefano really did carry Real to the top. Real hadn't won a La Liga title in over 20 years before he joined, and whilst they did have other world class players, Di Stefano was *undoubtedly* by far and away the most important. Not sure where you get the idea that he never carried Argentina out of the group stages at a World Cup from, Di Stefano never even played in a World Cup so that would have been pretty difficult.

Technically Messi isnt *yet* the most prolific goal scorer of his generation, because CR7 has scored more, although i noticed you mentioned only for barcelona when mentioning how many goals he's scored, seems odd to ignore internations to valid a statistic (cheeky bit of favouritism? ;) )... Prolific in footballing parlance typically means goals per game. With or without including internationals, Messi is more prolific than Ronaldo.

Interestingly enough though (and just for fun), during their comparable timespan playing for teams in the same league, Ronaldo actually had a better strike rate than Messi, perphaps highlighting why career strike rate of players who have played in one league vs playing in multiple leagues *can be* somewhat misleading. (not to detract anything from Messi, or to add anything to Ronaldo) Simply in the world of statistics that would be considered an extremely poor comparitive statistic.
Personally my only criticism of your channel is that it perpetuates the incessant need to rank and order things based on the notion of 'best ever' realistically CR7, Pele, Ronaldo, Messi and Maradona should simply be seen as the best 5 ever to grace this beautiful game, ranking them is ultimately pointless as they aren’t directly comparable. Other than that ive been enjoying your videos from way back when you only had about 5000 subs, keep up the good work my dude, look forward to seeing more random and interesting lists!
