You are brave riding those trails on a xc hardtail. My jaw dropped when and i laughed out loud when i saw you hit the jack, fat lip, the twist and crap chute. I didnt finish the video yet but i had to stop and comment. I genuinely worried about you going otb multiple times at the bottom of fat lip. This is not a knock of a hardtail. I ride my hardtail and creek all the time but my hardtails have head angle of 63 and 62 degrees. 😊
@@richardburns5925 doesn't change the fact that it's a xc bike. It's a very nice xc bike but he is definitely under biked there, and trust me. I am not a full suspension snob. I take my hardtail to the bike park all the time and you can check my channel for proof.
thinking about building up an arc or a sb115, thanks for that nice ride impression. do you think the "tail" in trailhardtail is justified? or would you rather go with a rear sus?
It depends what you want it for. I've got a Yeti full sus (a 2012 ASR5 that's in nice shape and that I've added all the modern bells and whistles to) and I love them both, but for Mtn Creek the full sus is definitely better. However, I love the ARC and it's been a joy to ride. It's versatile, it can definitely punch above its weight and with a couple of mods (bigger brake rotors and a 140mm fork) it should be more at home at places like Mtn Creek.
I don’t ride much anymore… yet, if you can’t take a hardtail and go down ANY , and I mean ANY-trail, faster than 90 % of the full suspension guys…,,,, then guys , hey, there is NO need for a full suspension.
@@eastcoaste30 I suspect as many people or more get injured there then they did in the years I worked at action park. But none of them will die, thankfully.
I enjoy my ARC too. Yeti did an awesome job on it and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I ride my Arc at Hartshorne and enjoy it more than my full suspension however Mountain Creek I"ll pass on.
I actually just brought my full sus ASR5 there today and it was a lot more...well suited. Uploading vid now.
