After our 2meter series, we have plans to do some ball side drives videos, which would help you. We are going to try and post more often! Thanks for watching!
You should check out part one in our Moving the Ball series, Initiating the Drive. That's the first part to getting past your defender. th-cam.com/video/bwicpeImWqA/w-d-xo.html
@@Shaquatics The video was perfectly timed as these are all things that my daughter has been learning over the last few weeks. I think the techniques are applicable to any attacking player. The lean/push into the defender before kicking away is subtle and easily missed or forgotten, but a great way to gain that extra bit of space!
Mr. Farkuas, I have been training hard in waterpolo for over 6 months and been going to practice every day but over those 6 months I have seen no improvement from me and am considering quitting waterpolo. I do not know what to do and want to know if you have any advice to give me, thank you for your time.
This is a tough one to answer as I'm not at your practices and I don't know what's going on. I'll tell you what I tell my kids the ingredients are to a good practice. You want to learn, work hard, and have fun. You need all three in my opinion and all three balanced. For example if you're having too much fun at the expense of the drills then you're wasting your time. You need to balance having fun while staying focused and getting your work in. I would focus on those three things at practice and if you feel like the learning aspect is not there then add in the drills you find on TH-cam. For example you could do the passing isolations I teach during your passing practice, just throw them in. You could be working on your grip strength while you have some downtime. Hope that helps, and good luck.
I have a question regarding defense. Is a defense player allowed to push the offense player in opposite direction? (anywhere in field if the ball is not present) similar situation is in this video when the offense and defense players are against each other just before the turn and seal.
Hello Shaquatics, I love your videos and i would love to see stuff that we could do at home, with and without a ball... Something that is not watching your videos :)
You just gave me a great idea for a video. I call it chicken, I'm not sure if others cal it that or not. It's head up freestyle arms and eggbeater kick. It can be used 100 different ways but one good use is to get someone off of you when they are grabbing or to prevent them from grabbing. I'll get on that video for more details but I hope that helps get you started.
breastkicking his face (read: making small angles with a quick bs kick, if you do this early enough no sane defender shouldnt be able to pass). One of my coaches said to never feel bad if a defender wants to put his face on your feet
Hi. I have a question and that is how do I improve my whole team and not just myself. I play at Center and I often ask for passes since im open a lot of the times. my teammates somehow dont get that and they attempt to get a foul then they shoot. most of the times however they miss or they dont get a foul then its a turnover for the enemy team. i would really appreciate if you would respond. thanks Edit~ im really upset with my team also since we just ended our season and we lost all 8 games that we played in total and we are dead last by far out of 5 teams.
Unfortunately you can only do so much, you can’t pass yourself the ball. I recently did a short on a great John Wooden quote that may help you, I know it helps me. You must focus on what you can control, namely your effort. Being a vocal leader may help also but remember you are their teammate not their coach. th-cam.com/users/shortsiejXEE8LGis?feature=share
Ty David, in from Peru and I'm learning everything that you teach improving my lessons, muchisimas gracias crack!
Hello Peru! Thanks for taking the time to tell me that, I love it! Keep up the good work.
great to see you guys upload again. Also I would really like a video on how to get past a defender

Great video. All the points are clearly demonstrated as well as the explanation why you do it. Thank you.
Thank you, appreciate that.

Hey I’m a goalie, i was curious if you guys made videos about what a goalies position should be when balls in center, outside, 2 on 1?
That's on our to do list!
I have a question regarding defense.

I’ve noted that and added it to our long list of videos to do, I think it’s a great idea. I might title it ‘stuff you can do at home,’ kind of catchy.
when swimming to counter offense how do you prevent / get out of a defender pulling on your suit from behind?

Can you make video on the 2 metre defence? As of now putting your hands below or going on the shoulder of centre forward would give you a man out
That's a good idea I'll mark that down. One of the problems with 2M defense is that you can play it really well and still get ejected.
