See You On The Other Side. I Just Want You is one of my husbands favorites as is God Is Dead..... My son stole my Ozzy cd, even after I bought him a record player and the vinyl, he won't give it back! Haha.
Lita Ford was in the all-girl rock band The Runaways along with Joan Jett. Ozzy's wife, Sharon Osbourne became Lita's manager for her solo career. Lita had a few great songs in the 80s. Check out Kiss Me Deadly
That one may click with him, question is 'where have I heard this' or statement of fact. I get a kick out of the younger than me reactors when they catch it.
@AngB517 Ozzy does have a version from Live and Loud that I believe is just him not Sabbath and there is a version with him and his daughter Kelly Osbourne that's pretty good as well. I couldn't remember for sure if it was Sabbath or solo Ozzy cuz brain fog is real but I figured either way didn't matter cuz it's still Ozzy singing it. I looked myself and saw that there was a version from Sabbath from '72 I think it said but for some reason I'm remembering it on the same album as Mama I'm Coming Home??? Am I going insane?
@@MegsD79 Ok the bonds of comment sections, we learn much. I didn't know if Ozzy would pick it up because Sabbath had other leads besides Ozzy ~ that's the only reason I specify. Changes first came out in '72, In 1993 he released Live and Loud was the only time he did it solo. Mama, I'm Coming Home was on No More Tears which also had 'I Don't Want To Change The World'. I get the brain fog thing, I just enjoy musical history.
And you are so kind, Cliff. I suffer with panic attacks, depression, and PTSD from a very physically abusive relationship when I was young. I was 18 and for 3 years lived in hell. Ironically, I didn't have a panic attack until months after escaping. That was 30 years ago, and I still suffer. I think it's so sweet of you to encourage people like you do! You are amazing. ❤
Lita was considered the Queen of Heavy Metal. She was born in London England. Her father was British. Her family moved to my city, Long Beach CA around 1965. In 1975 at 16 years old, she joined The Runaways which were an all girl rock band. Joan Jett was also a member of that band. That band was active 1975 - 1979. Lita went big went she went solo in the 80's and so did Joan Jett.
I❤ur reaction 2 this song. I grew up listening 2 oldies & Black Sabbath was 1 of my favorites so when Ozzy went solo I listened 2 ALL of his songs. Ur right, he does have a very distinctive voice & so does Lita. I could listen 2 them on the radio & instantly pick out their voices. I'm looking 4ward 2 u reacting 2 more of Ozzy solo/Black Sabbath as well as Lita Ford.
i swear sometimes these musicians way back when were psychics. it's scary how much these older songs are relevant to now.. this song was released in 1988 btw & again in 1989 as a single. this was awesome, thanks cliff!
Cliff, check out more Lita Ford, but also look up Vixen (all female metal band), and Doro Pesch (formerly of the band Warlock) if you want to see women playing amazing songs that can get your blood pumping. All of them are STILL playing to this very day!
Totally agree, these 80s videos are awesome! Not only because those were my teenage years... Also, yes, Ozzy's voice is so unique but not so usually emotionally expressive as it is here. You should check out The Runaways, with Lita Ford and Joan Jett. Pure rock and energy, no messing around, and a revolutionary band for women in Rock. "Wasted" live in 1977 in the UK is a good example, or "Cherry Bomb" live in Japan in 1977.
Lita Ford was in the original band The Runaways with Joan Jett, Lita has been regarded as the Queen of Metal even though her songs are really only hard rock!
She's another BAMF Lady guitarist that started in the late 70s with Runaways, 80s Solo, *Kiss Me Deadly* . I remember my mom's sister in law having a freaking fit, demanding I turned my Granma's tv to a cartoon channel. When I told her I was allowed to watch MTV, she yelled at me that the song was about suicide, well ok if it is that doesn't change the fact that I am allowed to watch MTV. Mom's brother stepped in and I got yelled at some more. Fun times, fun times. You know what they did that day? Absolutely solidified this song in my head, as a beautiful duet. At least I got out of it unhurt, she broke my dad's nose for telling her George Michael was gay, bitch got a screw loose.
This song is amazing. Released February 1988 and still holding strong. Two amazing artists in one song. What a song. The 80’s were a blast to grow up in. Lita was in an all girl band called the Runaways. She was lead guitarist also Joan Jett was in that band!
It blows my mind so many younger than me have never heard of so many iconic songs...yet then I don't have any knowledge of rap other than a few hits that I like to dance to. I have hard time understanding the lyrics. I don't know what certain sayings mean. I LOVE Eminem's poet's heart. I am 53 and just love music.... The new generation is different, yet sooo brilliant. All of you got this...just fight for it and don't give up.
***IRON MAN*** do not skip this, many learn to play the guitar starting with this classic. Goes on the workout/get pumped up playlist. Probably in a movie or game or something, you might know it. :)
She was the lead guitarist for the all-girl rock band The Runaways in the 70s. Joan Jett was also a member. You should check out their song Cherry Bomb.

Some of my favorite Ozzy tunes Mr Crowley, road to nowhere, mama i'm coming home, bark at the moon and of course Crazy Train. If you like Sabaton you should check out Manowar- warriors of the world or kings of metal
I didn't read the previous messages so while I'm guessing it's already been said --- Lita Ford was a member of The Runaways. The Runaways were, in 1975, guitarist Joan Jett, drummer Sandy West, and bassist Michael "Micki" Steele. Lead guitarist Lita Ford and lead singer Cherie Currie joined the band line-up in 1976. Steele subsequently left and was replaced by Jackie Fox. Lita went on to have a successful career. She was a very talented artist, and not hard on the eyes either.
Sabaton, who you have listened too, have four songs, that are anthems for metal music that influenced THEM, METAL MACHINE, METAL RIPPER, METAL CRUE, and finally MANOWAR, the later, is a tribute to Manowar, a band that you should check out in there own right. Cliff, listen to these songs, every lyric is a song, album, or band, You can build a whole play list off the music Sabaton mentioned.
Lita is the ULTIMATE metal chick in the 80s. And, at your age, I can forgive you not knowing Ozzy was in Black Sabbath, but I can't forgive you not mentioning Lita being hot as hell.
Lita Ford is one of the greatest female guitarists of all time.
not...
@@teresaarmstrong-x3vI've seen her live and yes she can jam.

Ooh, when she splits her fingers up her backside. That's the deadly kiss.
Dreamer, really? 🤢🤮 I love Ozzy but that's a really crap song. He has so many other fantastic solo songs.

Sometimes people don't realize that Ozzy actually had a really good voice and used it so well.
Lita Ford had an amazing voice I really wish the studios had pushed her more because she IMO was an amazing artist.

Lita was in a band with Joan Jett when they were kids called The Runaways.
Cherry Bomb was their biggest hit
