Any rugby game you know Wales will win the singing ! :) They have the best national anthem, the best songs generally and a great tradition of singing...

I do not care what anyone says this is by far the best anthem in the entire world. I thinks it’s a mix of the mellifluous Welsh language, the melodic tune where it starts off slow but hits the high peaks at GWLAD GWLAD and at the end, the incredible passion with which it is sung by a massively proud nation, the world renowned singing of the Welsh people and if you look into it the translation in it which talks about a beautiful land and how much it is loved by its inhabitants. Cymru am Byth. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

"Voices coming together in unison" apart from in Wales where they come together in full four part harmony. Rugby and Choral singing. It's what they do.

The reason national anthems are sung in sporting events is because of Wales. They played New Zealand in 1903, New Zealand did their traditional haka and as a repost, the Welsh sung their national anthem. That established singing your national anthem

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau means "Old land of my fathers", You're getting slightly confused with a different song of ours "Yma O Hyd". Really appreciate you coving our beautiful country though. Thanks and keep up the great work :)

Yma o Hyd is the song that means we are still here. There are many nnay great Welsh songs though, so it's easy to be confused.
