This was bound to happen eventually. Exploring Coober Pedy to Geelong.

  • Our family travels around Australia continue as we depart with one last sunrise at Uluru and make our way into South Australia and to Coober Pedy. Here we try our hands at fossicking, hoping to stike it lucky with some opal finding.
While exploring Coober Pedy we also finally have an incident that has been in the back of mind for the last 6 years that we have been traveling to remote and rugged places around Australia and as a result I get to use a bit of kit which has been bouncing around in the back of my last 3 utes for the same number of years.
In leaving Coober Pedy and heading towards Geelong, we have to say good bye to our mates and travel companions of the last few weeks as we part ways.
We drive through York Peninsula but as we were too short on time and the unfavourable weather meant that we didn’t get too do much more than enjoy the views out of the car window and stop in at some great little towns to try the local cuisines.
We did however manage to cruise along the Great Ocean Drive in Victoria and remember that the last time we were here was before the kids were even born. We saw some of the iconic landmarks as well a lot of wild Koalas which was my personal highlight of the trip.

@@-PORK-CHOP- it was amazing food mate. Worth a visit. The boys love chatting to the camera. I now give them their own camera but they end up fighting over it more than talking to it lol.

👏👏👏👏👍👍. I probably shouldn’t admit to this but I’ve plugged a motorcycle tyre and rode on it until it was down to the canvas before I got to somewhere that had the right tyre to replace it, without any issues. It doesn’t matter how big the boat or ship, if you have a inner ear in balance you are going to feel crook,to late now but eating a crunchy apple as your getting on will help heaps, try it on the way back 👍👍. Stay strong and safe travels ❤️❤️🙏👁️👁️😎😇. The bride just brought a new puppy home, a blue healer named Charlie .

@@positivepete4265 I had a spare but I wanted to use the tyre repair kit as I haven’t need to use it until now. I had a couple of options to get me out of trouble.
Thanks for the comments mate. It really helps me stay motivated to edit.

Bad luck with the puncture you been lucky if that's your first, TIP: to use these plugs you push the plug in 2/3 then pull it back, it breaks in two and stays in, Don't push all the way through, some kits also come with glue, i'm surprised nobody would plug the hole for you it's not like it was a gaping hole, if the DIY plug worked it wasn't a bad puncture, talk about useless people in Coober Pedy for not fixing it for you, surely they must come across this all the time.

@@-PORK-CHOP- yeah I think we’ve been very lucky so far as we have been on a lot rougher roads with out issues. I think it was late in the day and I did say I put 3 plugs in, maybe that’s why they thought it was too big. Thanks for the tip on how to plug it up. I’m sure the first two I put in went inside the tyre lol.
