We lost our culture in South West through foreign language and dressing. Most of Yoruba family today prefer to speak English with their children at home. Igbos and hausa children can speak their local dialect fluently.

The Samaritan woman in the book of gospel of John 4:19-24 is an Israeli woman from the ten tribes of Samaritans.

There is no posture that you take that God cannot answer your prayers and hands are not requured to be laid on you for you to receive blessing. If Ghandi requires a public demonstration of this act, he should have invited Adeboye to his coronation to receive blessings from God through him during the coronation before he is crowned. After he was crowned, he should not be seen in public kneeling before anybody or hands being laid on him. If he wants any spiritual blessings that require such a thing, he should do it in private. It is a desecration of tradition to do this in public.

On the other hand, the Oba should have seated on a chair and the head pastor should come to where the oba is sitting and perform whatever he wants to perform on the oba.
That is the normal practice in the orthodox churches.

    Are Laji Abass,
You are doing a fantastic job with Itan Yoruba, and I commend your efforts, which are generational blessings. Personally, I believe the way you addressed Soun of Ogbomoso's receiving of spiritual blessing from Baba Adeboye was also reasonably valid.
In my own estimation, you have also so far demonstrated that you know that religious sensitivity is delicate, serious, and highly inflammable and have handled it well.
However, I would advise that you steer clear of whatever can lead to a sort of disenchantment among your very knowledgeable followers, especially from among those who are Christians. YOU WENT TOO FAR BY TALKING ABOUT JESUS CHRIST AND THOSE HE WAS SENT TO IN A WAY THAT SHOWED NO RESPECT FOR WHAT WE CHRISTIANS KNOW AND BELIEVE. YOUR INFERENCE FROM MARK 16 REGARDING SOME ADDED VERSES, WHICH TRULY ARE NOT IN THE AVAILABLE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS, WAS TERRIBLY FALLACIOUS BECAUSE IT WAS NOT BASED ON COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONTEXT, EVENTS, AND THE PREOCCUPATIONS OF THE BOOK. Your handling of the Samaritan woman's encounter with Jesus Christ (in John 4:1-42) WAS ALSO FAR FROM DESIRABLE because it was bereft of a grasp of the historical and cultural context of that encounter and the mission and message of Christ. It was bewildering to note your attempt to connect that to Mount Sinai, which has a Biblical signification that a Christian who has attended good Sunday School classes shouldn't be confused about. Your touch on the division of the Roman Empire into West and East was not convincing, too, because it didn't happen at the time of Christ's physical earthly ministry as you wanted us to suppose but after HIS crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. You weren't clear about your intention in going into that stuff. You also inserted some of your personal Islamic views on the Christian faith, which Christians would be quick to identify.
I want to appeal to you to steer clear of such things.
I AM PERSONALLY CONVINCED THAT GOD HAS RAISED YOU FOR ALL OF US YORÙBÁ PEOPLE. YOU HAVE AN EXCELLENT GRASP OF OUR HISTORY. That's why I follow you. My prayer for you constantly is that God will continue to support you and fight for you. And, those who are after your life and family shall fall into the pit they are digging for you. Keep your focus and keep firing.
    Thank you.

Don’t say what you don’t understand. Pastors in the Bible installed kings. Samuel installed king Saul and David , and so many examples in the Bible: kings bow to pastors and seek guidance from them: but you will just be arguing without understanding. I am a pastor so there’s no need to argue with you endlessly on biblical matters: you’re doing good on your lane but don’t go into Christianity

Pastor Adeboye made it clear that the king is not kneeling before him but before the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The King is a Christian, that's his religion, will you say he should not practice his religion again because he's now a king? After all, he's trying to ensure he respect other people's religion. It's a common practice in the Bible for priest to anoint kings, Samuel did it for Saul and this practice is no different from what we see the traditionalist do when they are also installing kings, they tough the kings head for incisions and all that. What would you say about a king that prays in the Muslim way, doing so behind an imam, but that's his religion, so it should not be an issue, or should we say kings who are Muslims too should not bow down behind the imam to pray again?
