To know the exact number, we must know, what sizes of tiles are we using?
The size ranges from small size to large sized tiles. These are usually available in square and rectangular shapes. but square tiles are most
popular and being widely used. The various sizes of tiles may be 8' × 8', 10'×10', 12'×12', 16'×16' and
24'×24'.
Let's quote an example to illustrate this procedure
Suppose we need to calculate the number of tiles
required for a room having a floor size 12' x 12' and
the size of each tile is taken as 24'' x 24''

It's simple take out area calculation where you want apply putting then simply multiply by 3 to 5mm you will get the quantity of Putty
