Beautiful message. I have been doing a study on this and this message really cleared up so many questions for me. Thank you. I had another take on it too.....
When woman were to be married in Jewish tradition, in the times of Jesus, the parents would purchase a box of alabaster filled with very expensive ointment...this was part of her dowry which was the money or goods or estate a woman brought to her husband and his family for marriage.
Now.....when a man asks for her in-marriage the woman presents him with the Alabaster box and breaks it at his feet.....this gesture was to show her future husband Honor. The perfume was kept for the wedding night to consummate the marriage.
The woman who did this for Jesus was showing Him Honor, in the same respect we can break our own Alabaster boxes before Jesus bowing before him presenting ourselves as His bride. Allowing Him to love us and change us giving him that space in our hearts for His beautiful presence and anointing. 👰🏻 ✝️🕎✡️💝 god bless.

I don't think all four accounts were the same. I think the one in the Gospel of Luke is different from the one in all the other three gospels. Just my thought. I believe Mary of Betany(the sister of Martha and Lazarus) was the one in Mathew, Mark and John. But the account in Luke was of an unnammed who coild have been Mary Magdelene or not.

John 11: 1-2 reveals by name (clear as day) who "that woman" was who anointed the Lord.
2nd...No one would go into a house of a leper UNLESS the leper had been healed. The host was Simon, who was a Pharisee, who once had leprosy, who lived in Bethany, and whose son was Judas Iscariot...so then Jesus who knew his thoughts, heart and could say ..."Simon, I have somewhat to say unto you...."
3rd...thanks for reading the Gospel harmonies.
4th..... Act 1:20 points to Psalms 109: 8-15 gives and describes the "geneology" of Judas....Judas' mother, father, children
