I think some of these older companies like andis/wahl are out pricing themselves! - imagine how many people would be using these if they were £120 and not nearly £200. It don’t even matter how good they are once a trimmer gets up to the 200 price mark i just think you already lost about 40/50% of the market due to them not wanting to pay the price, or cannot afford it. Im glad wahl are designing from scratch again though! Just shame about the price. The gold fx with the thin blade on is £75 here in the uk lol….
The problem is the companies like Wahl have to foot the bill for all the R&D. Many other companies find something they like in China make a few changes to it and push it out to the market.
Like i said Im always gonna stick with wahl they been doing this for far to long 🙌🏽

You know Wahl hasn't come out with an original wireless product for barbers in a while. That could seem like a bad thing but come to think of it, maybe it's because they also value longevity. Some companies come out with clippers/trimmers almost monthly but they are not tried and battle tested like the seniors for instance
Right! I have two cordless seniors and just replaced the housing on one. I love them. I’ve tried a lot of different clippers and I just keep going back to Wahl.
I still use my original cordless seniors… I bought Babyliss and gamma/style craft clippers and I always go back to my seniors everytime… longevity is key.
Seniors just get too hot fast only down fall
@@jimichill916 not really a problem for me as I've learned to get most of my no guard steps done first and then once the guard is on (unless they're so hot it's melting the guards) it's not a factor. Almost all my clippers get hot...my instinct (swapped out the gold faper blade to black faper blade) still gets hotter faster...my gold FX with instinct's gold faper blade (beast of a setup) gets hotter faster. The only machine that does not get hot on me pretty much at all is the JRL 2020c but none of these I'm more comfortable with, cut better with, or faster with than the seniors...and I have way more machines than these
@@jimichill916 either I do all I have to do without the guard first in a timely manner or I mix in trimmer work and let the clipper cool off so it won't hurt efficiency. Either way it's not a problem

I purchased the Hi-Viz trimmers and they don't stand a chance against the Instincts and Sabers. And we're not even going to compare them to Babyliss FX trimmers.

Following
Flex/Sabers/Instincts hands down. Professional barber here who has used them all. Hi-Viz is a little over-hyped. the weight distribution of the Hi-Viz is way off and the blade is not the best. However, I do love the long, slim neck on the Hi-Viz, that alone is the reason why I still use them. Unfortunately, can't justify the price tag on the Hi-Viz.

Told a few of my fellow barber bros about em and they had me order them a couple pairs asap. Best $20 I’ve spent in a lonnnnng time. Not to mention the madeshow m10 clipper for around $30-$40 bucks that cut just like the jrl2020. Have the same blade, quiet and around the same run time. Just a different housing. These are my confessions. Lol. That’s coming from a team JRL clipper barber. Check em out.

Some clips in this video will have some with just the trimmer and skin line and then some lines I have added lining spray to the lining area.
For a trimmer that’s £220 it’s not worth the money there is so many other trimmers on the market at a more affordable price
