Solo didn't play for Mater Dei. He won the Butkus award Friday for best linebacker in the country. Didn't play because of a foot injury, and they still won by more than 3 touchdowns. #12 will be the best DB in the country next year, he's a pro. A 6'3 corner and only 15yrs old. So you looking at minimum 6'4. They have been putting this kid on an island for about a month now. I was at the game he played bump and run 90% of the time with no safety over the top for the last 4 to 5 games.

Long Beach Poly has more NFL players than any HS in the country (ST Thomas Aquainas in Florida). The only thing Texas has on Cali is more 1st round draft picks in the past 5 years, but only by a few. I'm not hating on Texas. Texas is a powerhouse & PRODUCES, but when ya'll come saying that Texas is the "King of HSFB" ya'll need to back the fuck up. Florida #1 & its no questions asked. But when it comes to Texas & Cali its pretty damn close. But over the past 5 years, with how dominate Mater Dei & St John Bosco been, I'd take Cali. Thats just my opinion, but I think I make a strong case. Not hating on Texas though, I respect that maintains the public school thing. But no team in Texas could hang with Bosco or Mater Dei. Mater Dei doesn't have their own football field. They share with Santa Ana High school ( their home turf has SANTA ANNA COUNTY on it). My team whipped Santa Anas ass 58-14. I was super confused how we beat them, but we did. We were so hyped, we beat legendary Bryce Young, epic. So I'm on Max Preps, Mater Dei, 11-0. What? I check my records on MP, My school vs Santa Ana 58-14. It took me 2 days to realise Mater Dei and Santa Ana are different schools that just come from the same county. It doesn't help that they and SA have the same colors either

With the time the Mater Dei QB had, he could of started a Weenie Roast BBQ back there and still been able to throw the ball. The guy had way too much time- That was the big difference- MD's OLINE just outclassed them. Man i would of love to see them play IMG. I been following both teams all year..IMG is beatable because they have a "im too good complex" so they tend to play down to their competition. BUT.....If i had to "bet" on a team,..I do think IMG would take these guys. 2 huge reasons..IMG'S D-line would not give this QB that kind of time to throw the ball. NEXT.....THeir corners are outstanding and the safetys are "good". THey put Bookie on #5 or Mater Dei's other monster receiver and i think Mater Dei would have problems. BUT we will never know ;(

I think they'll be just as good. They have many big time recruits coming back, side they're losing a great senior class but the 2020 class is insane at mater dei, plus their JV team went 10-0 and you know they'll pick up some big transfers.
This is why you gotta play Mitchel... way more experience at this level. No discredit to DJ, but you gotta go with the guy who knows his stuff and this MD Team. He lost to them last year and adjusted in the ship. On the other hand, this is the best MD team i think anyone has seen in a long time so I’m not too sure Re-al would’ve made a huge difference

MD played and beat SEVEN teams from someone's NATIONAL Top 25 (and will make it eight when they beat DLS), and every other team, except for La Mirada, was in the Top 75 NATIONALLY at some point in the season. Two of those Top 25 teams (Gorman and Bergen Catholic) were their state's largest division state champs. They played the most competitive schedule in the nation. Please do some research before commenting.
