wow… i don’t want to get into it, but i’ve been dealing with a litany of health issues recently both mental and physical due to past traumatic events, and i really think after i finish this episode i’m calling a few doctors to finally deal with them. this episode might just save my life. i think the universe works in mysterious ways and i was meant to listen this morning (i was gonna regardless, of course, but this episode means so fucking much to me.) THANK YOU. eta i’ve made an appointment with a cardiologist and i’m in the queue to speak with a therapist :)
I hope her agent is actively looking into cinematic roles and film for her to do .Her presence in front of the camera is always good . No one has that ability as far as I know .
My Nana threw my mom a lunch party when she got her first period. Her step dad is 84 with dementia and still reminds her of her anniversary of womanhood every year.
Complex chronic PTSD led me to develop CRPS (the suicide disease) the Brain body connection is real y’all. I’m only 36 and lost the ability to walk for a year. EMDR, Ketamine, TMS, crisis tools for grounding ( What are 5 things you can see, 4 things you can feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, 1 thing you can taste?) and having a therapist if you can or a social worker, were all helpful for me.
I wish this was there every day for an hour. This podcast is like therapy, just hanging out with friends and having a snack. gonnna go rewatch some older blood bath eps.

It's DXM (robotripping, the pill was CCC's coricidin cough and cold). Very common and safe ingredient at the right dose. Nyquil/Dayquil is not the safe way though, there are too many other ingredients. Only active ingredient should be DXM.
Actually I will give some quick advice so you guys don't do this... DO NOT MIX NYQUIL WITH PAIN KILLERS OR HEROIN, IT CAN KILL YOU ABSOLUTELY EASY!! IT SLOWS YOUR BREATHING TO AN INSANE AMOUNT I HAD TO GET A PAPER BAG AND BREATH AND GOT READY TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL IF IT DIDNT GET BEYOND MY CONTROL. JUST FYI BE CAREFUL FOLKS.

Whenever someone else is telling a story, Annie interrupts and starts telling her own story and completely skips over whatever Khalyla or Esther was talking about

I listen to Lofi live channel when I'm studying and looked up and found other long lasting audio channels like "thunderstorm while in a library" sounds (you can hear subtle sounds of pages turning and the occasional whisper with the thunder and rain. It ma kes you feel like your in a cool old library...). Nemo's dream scape was recommended as well. I love that people have been creating those channels. Cozy focus vibes
Doing Kegels makes me have to pee. I was gifted an American Doll as young girl and I still have her. Molly. And I Couldn’t Wait to get my period. I had an older sister and I think mine came later than some (summer between 6th and 7th grade), so I was stoked when I finally bled! -Also, I’m a licensed massage therapist and have experienced lots of different modalities and one of the best experiences I had was getting TMJ work. If you can find someone in your area who does it and you carry a lot of tension in your jaw (and most people do), and you can afford it...GO!! It’s amazing! But, I agree with Annie that being aware of it and breath work can do amazing things to help release tension/trauma/pain from our Meat Sacks. Good episode, Main Slugs. ❤️

I also love Disneyland for that reason and old Disney movies, because it kind of feels like it brings me back to that era. LOL I was literally set into depression when they took the twilight zone out of Disneyland, that’s how much I love that time.
I heard this interesting point about why you make more bad decisions at night. Its because will power has a limit/is an exhaustible skill so when you’re tired, stressed or had a long day you’re more likely to give in to temptations and not think straight.
Late to this episode, but I loved this week's! Annie spoke to my soul when she was talking about being submissive to things like cigarettes and other things of that nature. I really resonated with that. I'd love to hear Annie speak about her journey and opinions on bettering yourself at like a place where they'd have guest speakers or something. She really is in a great place, and you can genuinely see how much work she's done on herself. It's really inspiring.
