Outstanding Job !! I'm 72 and I've been collecting trains since I was 8 years old. I still have my 1st electric train and it still runs flawlessly. Also, I have over 30 engines and miles of rail stock and track. Wife thinks I'm nuts.. LOL.. Just bought another one today ~~~~ Oh Well.. I Love them and Her too.. LOL !!
I thoroughly enjoy the balance you achieve between explanation and demonstration. You do fantastic scenic work and I appreciate the time you put into sharing your projects. Keep up the great work! 👍🏼
A very complete rundown of the changes to left side arm of the layout, Sean. Always enjoy your balance between explanation and demonstration as you work. Great updates on track and scenic changes and additions. Keep us up-to-date on this fascinating makeover.
Really enjoyed the first part of the renovation. Good explanation and you sure are an expert on the scenery. You have great ideas and very artistic. Looking forward to the next section.
Thanks Sean, from high tech to fine arts you have it covered. Great techniques and tips! Thanks for teaching and sharing. Great use of old and new. And maybe a haircut? 😂
Sean, very nice presentation. Everything looks good to me except the new drive to the Myers house. I think it would look a LOT better if you pulled the black top up and changed it to a gravel or dirt drive. Use gravel, dirt etc. Put some dead bushed along the way. But deep six that black drive. All in my humble opinion. You have a great layout. Thanks for posting.
That Myers house is flat out awesome! Now I'm jealous! Suggestion foy your 1978 LYD wagon...maybe the Griswold wagon frm Vacation could be spiffed up...its actually pretty close.
Maybe you cover this in another video? I wanted to see how you painted your concrete. You have little flecks in the paint and it looks great. How did you do it? What paint? Thanks
Two of my favorite things, Ford and Halloween with Michael Myers, who isn’t fooling anyone by spelling his name Meyers…keep an eye on him because he might be planning on leaving town! I absolutely love the way you explain what you’re doing and you break it down for people like me who don’t have detailed layouts, but want to create one. I can’t wait to watch the next installment and I am really interested in this amusement park that is coming to town…a little too close to the Myers home, its going to bring a fresh batch of victims for The Shape! Keep up the amazing work, Sean…see you around the bend! SAS

Does the ballast you applied come off of the track easily? I want to add ballast to mine but I will be moving in a few years and want to be able to remove the track to start over wherever I end up
The track comes up fairly easily, and a lot of the ballast will still be stuck to it. If you watch Episode 1 & 2 you can see what happens, but you just lay it back down and fill in the missing ballast. Gluing anything will always be harder to remove than not gluing.
@@seanstraindepotdoes that do a good job quieting the track down? Sorry if you mentioned that in the video. I didn’t get a chance to watch the whole video
you have to remove the screws of a few sections and pull up the ones closet to the middle. Wouldn't be able to do just one section, has to be multiple.
You are right Sean, modern ballast is well manicured and maintained. Angles are sharp and neat. IMO, When you are not using grass mat, you should do your ballast last. Real rail roads apply the ballast over the top of existing terrain. I always do my ballast last, but I do not use grass mats. Great video, thanks for sharing. Thanks, Russ from Oregon

Yeah, it at least keeps us out of trouble, lol.
Great workmanship and fantastic video showing your ideas and approach to all the components. Bravo!!!
Cool changes love the Micheal Myers scene
Yeah, have to change the spelling! Typo!

Glad your enjoying that building! I’ll let my uncle know about the video!
Hi Sean, love all the changes. ❤ Looks great and thank you so much for sharing your upgrades 😂 Happy Railroading.

Excellent scenery as usual! Where do you get your road pin stripe? What width? Can you make a video of you applying it? TIA
Amazing update Sean. I hope you find the station wagon.

Omg excellent work Sean. Loved the video ❤
Great job I learned a lot from this video thanks for sharing.
Looks great! Myers is the correct spelling fyi
Oh geez, didn't even notice, I will have to correct that! Thanks!
The video was great but I’m curious to know how you built the grade going up to the coal tipple .
That over a decade ago! lol, but it's in my O gauge Layout build video series (look under playlists). Should be in some of the earlier episodes.
Just curious. Who makes that cool treehouse seen near the beginning of the video?
K-Line - it was called Steven's Hideout. K-43006

@@seanstraindepot have you ever tried to remove the ballast completely from a piece of track to start fresh?
Great video. What type of track bed do you use for your fastrack?
It's just sound insulating floor underlayment I got at Home Depot. Just to make a sound break between the hard Fastrack and plywood.

Green light makes a 1979 ford wagon. National Lampoon vacation. That’s the closest I can find.
Yeah, thanks I have the "Family Truckster" on the layout already, lol. but that doesn't look close to the movie wagon.
Nice work but I liked it before. Was there a reason I missed why you got rid of the bridge and y?
Yup, episode 1.
@@seanstraindepot oh. I guess I missed the first 2 episodes

Nice job Sean.. one question. Do you glue the ground cover on to the mat?
Nope, it pretty much stays in place by itself.
Why is it a bad idea to have back to back switches?
The hobo union called. They said, that you forgot the hobo camp..
Well, you never know what I have planned next!
