Jenn has a really beautiful voice; love the depth and timbre of it. My only beef with this performance is that it didn't feel like she took it and really made it her own... It didn't seem like a true solo performance but rather like she was still singing her part from when she was in the ensemble of Spring Awakening, just adding in the melody lines. It didn't feel intimate and personal like when Lea did the song at Joe's Pub - again, not comparing their voices (both are amazing), just the perfo
1. She's looking at the lyrics. Really?? 2. Her voice is very ... "breathy," especially on certain notes. 3. I saw Jennifer in NTN three times; it was a good role for her, and she was excellent on one night, and the other just so-so; hey, we all have off nights. BUT, if you think she has the talent that Lea Michele has -- and I'm talking live performances, not auto-tuned, studio-recorded songs from glee -- well, I think you should listen more closely. 4. Having seen S.A. eight times -- four different productions, including Broadway -- it's my view that this song is really meant to be more of an ensemble piece, with brief featured soloists. Sorry, but I don't think she does it justice in this rendition. And it cries out, almost literally, for strong male voices.
12 years later and I literally cannot get this performance out of my head still
"Where the sins lie...."
*grins bashfully*
"Where the winds sigh...."

@ICouldSingForever same :D
pretty.
no i think those are all mine :]
I can't bear to watch a performer staring down at the lyrics during the entire course of the song. It's embarrassing.
Chill, she's 19 doing things we only dream of.
