I have a 243 xpr and a Winchester model 100 308, so I bought the stevens in 6.5. Most beautiful wood I've ever owned. It's also a tack driver. Very impressive rifle. Be blessed 🙌
About the Winchester 100 .308. I just returned from the range with one. It shot 2.4" at 100 yards with a cold barrel and 180 grain core-lokt. At 200 the group opened to 7". With extensive, and I mean extensive testing, tuning and shooting 4 different model 100's that's pretty decent for those rifles. They are an attractive, sleek looking traditional rifle that shoot decent for the era they were manufactured. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
An interesting and surprising video to watch. The walnut is beautiful and the heavier barrel surprised me. What was interesting was the group you shot even with the heavy trigger.
Inexpensive, beautiful, and accurate? Sounds like a winner to me!
The budget reviews are great! Some of us can't afford carbo fibers and mucho glasses, it's refreshing to see when a small purchase can yield great groups
Hopefully Stevens will expand on there caliber selections....
Primary Arms and Monstrum optics are budget friendly and solid friend.
What you said!👍
That was quite impressive.
Walnut and blued steel is hard to beat. .3 inch group is fantastic. Good shooting Who Tee
That’s a sharp looking rifle! Shoots great too! 👍
What a group!! Very nice rifle!!
I have been waiting to see this one.
Me too!
That's a beautiful piece of wood, worthy of a rifle that shoots that good!
That's a beautiful rifle to be doing all that for one of, if not the most affordable, centerfire bolt action available! Love seeing these affordable guns doing so good! Thanks for testing realistically affordable stuff!
I just got home with one in 6.5 creedmore been giving the barrel a good cleaning as I alway do with a new gun I mounted a Athlon 2x12 in warne rings on it letting it soak some more in bore cleaner then will lap it with JB bore paste found this helps on copper fouling and smooths out and minute rough spots
Very impressive! Beautiful rifle. Thank you.
Have one of these on the way as the first rifle I bought, happy to see it doing you well!
You’re going to love it!
Good looking boolot slinger. Good slinging on your part too. I’m amazed at the great accuracy you’re getting with the core-loct on everything you’re shooting. The new Remington ammo company must have really upgraded their quality in the company change. Deadliest mushroom in rhe woods. :)
Nice looking rifle and thanks for the info and my friend 👍👍👍 and your show is the best 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Looks like a great life long deer rifle to pick up for my boys! Didn't know this existed.
This video may finally make my mind up on Cascade or this 334
Go with the cascade. Superb quality for the money
+1^^^
Just got a cascade and I really like it! Great trigger and all around great looking rifle. Buds gun shop usually has pretty good prices on them and ship fast as well.
That is Very Nice !
Im impressed!
Me too!
Great group and great looking rifle
Very nice looking rifle
Nice looking rifle! Great groups, core lost always seems to perform well.
I was looking at it to buy, but you helped make the purchase! Wanted to see what that stock looked like and its pretty!
Thanks for watching
Ready to see another video on this bad boy again
Me too
Very nice! 😀
I was literally looking for this video earlier today wondering when you would be getting this video out
Thanks for watching!
Nice group Adam some custom rigs don't don't do that...
What a lovely rifle, It's got everything I like, including a beautiful piece of walnut. I think it might fill the void left when CZ pulled the 527 American, Varmint and lux. However I look forward to a full review. I wonder if that bolt is as hard to get in and out as the Savage 110 is. Hopefully it's not so bad.
I have one in 243 n love it ❤
Awesome
Absolutely love the videos of Bing bangs and accessories that the average person can afford. I think for under 800 dollars you should be able to get a rifle, scope, and mounts. Maybe even some ammo. Big thumbs up 👍
👍👍
Pretty impressive!
Great video. I love it. Could you please do a comparison video of your inexpensive rifles and how they grouped for you. (i.e. Ruger American vs Go Wild vs Gen2 vs 334 vs Patriot vs Savage etc.)?
That's a,tac driver I'm gonna have to get one
Seen couple of these at a local gun store...ine in 6.5 and one in .243.....
I predominantly just whitetail hunt so i feel like i would be ok either way but im not sure which one i want!!!
Savage Stevens make a great rifle period.
I have seen some that out shoot high $ rifles they cost 5x what they cost. Why spend a ton of cash to get something that shoots worse than the the Stevens rifle does.
Plus in Walnut it looks like a high $ rifle.
Nice group
Thanks for watching
I'm sold. I'm going to look for one in 243 win.
WOW!!🤙
Did pretty good!
Very impressive! Did you mention the price? I just heard it was affordable......
I never mention price bcuz it is going to be different everywhere you go
Please test one in .243.
The. Pennies. Are. Back!!!!!
Yup!
What size objective on that scope? I just picked this 334 up in a 308. The optic I’m looking at is a Burris Fullfield II which has a 50mm objective. Just wondering if I can fit it on lows, or if it needs to sit higher to clear.
I never use lows ever. Too risky 🤣. I believe these were medium rings. Don't hold me to it but I think a 40mm
@@WHOTEEWHO looked like a 40 but didn’t want to assume.
Most bushnells are budget or a vortex crossfire 2 but a Crimson trace not really
Hey Whootie, have you noticed that the stock has a bedding plate attached to the stock and also has pillars on the screws?
Haven't looked that close. Shoots great and that's really all that matter to me 😝
@@WHOTEEWHO that’s probably why it shoots great.
I’d love to check one out, but I can’t find it in any stores. Any ideas where to find one? I’m not willing to buy a gun online until I have seen it in person and handled it and inspected it first.
I can only help u there if you live near me
It's a renamed ATA Turqua. Nice though. Looks like cracking value 👌
Great video and good for someone like me, looking for my first centerfire bolt action. I am on a budget. My limit is $1000. Do you think this rifle competes well with the following that I am considering?
CVA Cascade SB $621
Ruger American Gen 2 $560
Howa Hera 7 $636
Ruger American Hunter $690
Ruger Hawkeye Hunter $970
If you don't need a threaded barrwl then, yes absolutely is a good one. Proof is in thr groups
I do it2
Is that actual wood or synthetic
Actual wood
the matte black synthetic stock with a matte black action appeals to the tactical side of me, while the Turkish Walnut stock with a silver bolt brings a touch of elegance.
From what I've heard the synthetic stocks bolt is not as smooth as the stainless bolt here
@@gmanthedsftw2672 your absolutely correct I own both and the stainless definitely rides a lot smoother out of the box. When cleaned treated and used it does get a lot better. What I like to call a break in period. Needless to say the 334 has out shown some of my rifles at 3x the price
Now that is one gorgeous rifle from Stevens!!
😍😍😍
To jest Turecki wyrób.
Such beautiful wood furniture! Its sad that we see less and less wood stock options these days. Amazing that this one is coming in at such an affordable price!
You can’t ask for a much better group. Impressive!
Great accuracy with plain old ammo which hunters usually buy. The Stevens 334 iWalnut s a buy !
Hey you’re the same guy who was shitting all over this rifle on another channel…. Make your mind up?
@@Christ42 I can't argue with these excellent groups, which usually belong to rifles costing 2x-3x as much or more. I am shocked by its accuracy.
That feathering on the Walnut stock is call Fiddleback. Nice shootin.👍👍
Unfrickin believable........😮......What more could anyone want ???
👍👍
Sold me !
I bought 2 in 308 win , wood stock
Good video
Awesome! Thing shoots crazy good
I have a walnut 334 in .308. I was able to lighten the trigger up quite a bit but I had to take the gun out of the stock. Then there is a screw on the trigger for adjustment. I know many said that screw was glued in place but mine was not.
Great video!
Awesome
Same here no glue fantastic shooting rifle. Best shooting budget rifle on the market today
Mine had a black looking glue on the screw. With a little back and forth working the screw I was able to free it up and adjust.
@@jasonbrock1055 to be safe it’s best to use heat!
@Christ42 no heat was required. No damage done.
I would say that you have a keeper. I would not do anything else to it. That is one of those rifles that we call unicorns, and they don't come along very often in life. ❤
Why in the world would people wanna spend any more money than what this rifle cost? This gun is excellent. I shoot a Savage 110 6.5 Creedmoor now excellent rifle great review as always.
When your sub 400 dollar rifle shoots as well as some of your 4000 dollar rifles 😅
Yup
One of my buddies has the same make, model and caliber rifle and since he used to exclusively advocate hunting with the 6.5x55 Swede I thoroughly enjoy teasing him about his 6.5 "Costmore."
Hard to tease about a gun that shoots like that.
Turkey really does know how to produce some Beautiful rifles! Thanks for the review!!!!!!!!!
I'd buy that rifle just for the wood
Pretty wood engraving & two tone have cost me LOTS of money 💰
Great looks & even better performance
It's a win win !!!!!
Love it
Keep them coming
Great videos
Looks great!
Took mine out today, best group I got was 1" with AAC sabre black tip. Tried Winchester deer season xp 125gr Winchester power points 129gr & Federal 140gr power shoks. Everything but the AAC was above an inch. The win. Power points were almost 2 inches
That's a sweet rifle. Great deal for the working man hunter. I'm so sick of the plastic stocks.
..amen 4 Stevens 🙏..
👍🍻🖕
Just finished your video and I’m very impressed. I’m from South Carolina and my go to store is Sportsman’s Warehouse, Academy Sports and Palmetto State Armory; and PSA have the Steven’s for a very impressive price. Thanks for sharing the info. Picking up one for sure!!
Thanks for watching
From all initial reports I have read, it seems these rifles really shoot. So impressive. Not just "for the money" either. Looks like you won the wood lottery with that one though. On a side note: the wood stock version of the 334 has a better running bolt from what I have heard so far. It has a stainless steel bolt, but for whatever reason the synthetic stock version has a bolt with a black coating that doesn't run as smooth, apparently. I know the 334 is just a rebadged Turkish ATA Arms Turqua, but I don't know why Savage would allow two different bolt finishes in what is virtually the same rifle. Regardless, it seems the wood stock version is the way to go. Anyway, great video as always, Adam! I'll be looking forward to the many videos on this one to come!
wow you get all the good ones !
Wow, I'm watching your views-counter tick over like the odometer on a superbike doing triple double-nickles! Many of us anxious for this video. What a shooter! What a video! Lusting here......🎯
Before you buy one these rifles 334 mod. try and find an extra mag, good luck. I have tried everywhere, no 308, 243, or 6.5 mags. The worst customer service ever.
Go to ATA arms website.
Gun broker has all you want
Also have looked forward to this one.
Thanks for watching
I'm old. I really like a nice piece of wood. Um, let me rephrase that. I like firearms with nice wooden furniture.
I'm young ish and feel the same way.
Always favored Savage and Stevens👍
I have the same rifle and have run all kinds of different factory loads and grain weights I haven't found any yet that this gun doesn't shoot good
Good to know
Sold in Australia as the ATA Turqua. Available in 24 inch Varmint barrel in 243, 308 and 6.5 Creed for around $1,100 (+/-) for the synthetic stock and around $1,200 for the Walnut stock. Then our optic prices here get a bit silly too. Good vid Mate. Cheers from Down Under.
We always cop it price wise mate, just the way it is unfortunately, cheers Yogi ✌️🤙
We had the ATA Turqua here in Canada, but it was discontinued due to it now being sold as the Stevens 334 for the North American market. "Same s*** different pile", but I'd rather deal with Stevens'/Savage's warrantee service than ATA's if ever needed, so it's kind of an "upgrade" in that sense.
Sold here in South Africa as ATA aswell in the same calibres, around $750 US. Same price as howa here.
@@PLL1652howa 1500s are super cheap in Australia
ATA Turqua, uugh what kind of a name is that. But a rifle named Steve, that's more like it.
We all know why they named it the 334.... cause itll shoot a .334 inch group..... which means you gotta do better Boss!😂
Anything related to Savage, these days, is my go to for affordable accurate bing bangs!!!! With the proper zoomies, and slingin dem lockt core boolots. 😅😊
Taking Whoot Whoot slangin international baby!
Good video and great slangin!
The wood on the particular one you got looks great, I don't think most of them will look that good. Even the picture on their website of the rifle doesn't look as good as yours.
Awesome! My first 3 shot with my 334 308 with Federal power shok 150 grain was 0.5".
Awesome
I bought this rifle in 308 for around 400 bucks about two months ago. Not sure where your paying 1000 for it but that’s high.
I didn't say 1000. Bout same as u
@@WHOTEEWHO I was replying to another commenter, not sure why it showed up like a new comment but hey youtube…sorry for the confusion
Impressive! Waiting on your video of the Savage 110 Trail Hunter.
Stay tuned
Looks exacty like a ATA Turqua
I want one in cal. .243
Adam group it at 500
Beautiful rifle. Fine shooting as well.
❤❤❤
I have a Stevens 334 in 308. I'm getting 0.416" 5-shot groupings at 100 yards with Sierra Gamechanger Tipped GameKing 165gr. Let's see what you get with your 6.5 Creedmoor with Sierra ammo.
Looks like tomorrow’s plan includes a gun shop visit.
I have the .308 of this and it loves Hornaday Black. The .308 has a 1/11 twist and LOVES 168gr rounds.
That's one pretty and accurate rifle. Classic wood stock. I much prefer the look to that of the industrial/tactical fashion that is so popular these days. I think I'm gonna get me one.
Just incredible , I love the sound of a rifle . Thanks for sharing. Cheers 🇨🇦
Thanks for watching
Wish they made this in LH.
Looks to me like that bolt cycle's easier and smoother than your Ruger American.
Yup I'd say so
That thing is pretty... Hopefully they do some more with the model line.
I'd love to have this in 30-06..
Got one 334 synthetic in 243 waiting paper work😢
Awesome
And that's a wrap 👍🏻
Tight group!
Why would you even bother buying anything more expensive in those calibers
