    Your guys' videos are just plain and simple the best. I love how you guys don't just show fish getting pulled up but it shows where to drill the holes, how to rig yourself with the best bait for the situation, and how to actually catch the fish as far as jigging techniques. I appreciate and respect all that you at IDO do.. Thanks

    really like when you guys show the jig strokes before the bite. even better when you split screen with the underwater camera and the corresponding jig strokes. it's cool to watch how the fish react to the jig/different movements. might have to get me one of these cameras just to watch how they respond to certain things. you can guess with a sonar but you never really know

    Seeing the Budweiser can on the bootm reminded me of tubing on the Red River near Gresham north of Shawno Wisconsin. We were picking cans etc . off the bottom of the river as we floated along, pouring out the water of one can and it started to shake. A bullhead or catfish had grown inside the can head to the opening, carefully folding the can the fish regained its freedom, hope it didn't get ate right away.Love your shows ,one of your number one fans, hope to fish with you guys one day! Jealous someone I've fished with is heading to Devils Lake with your film crew this month. Keep up the good work!

    Great show guys! I found your channel a few weeks ago and subscribed, due to being so impressed with the way the show is done. I like that you explain what you're doing and why and with what equipment. Panfishing on ice is my favorite and your episodes kept me sane till ice in. Thanks for that and all you have done for the sport!

      Sadly there were pop cans, beer cans, chewing tobacco tins...all sorts of litter on the bottom of the lake. I know most anglers are good about cleaning up after themselves but some real slobs had left quite the eyesore behind.

      I started taking a retrieval magnet with me. When the fish aren't biting I use it to pick up some of that garbage. Not all of it will stick to the magnet, but I have been getting a lot of trash out. I've also scored 3 anchors so far. Got some freebies from the DNR (key chains etc) when they saw what I was doing too.

      ***** My cousin and I were fishing off the parking lot of a hotel and the owners caught us. We had picked up old fishing line, coffee cups, soda and beer cans, just basic litter and they saw that, they do weddings a lot and with the garbage everywhere from past fisherman make it look bad (their dog has actually been snagged in old fishing line). We are now the only 2 people who have permission to fish on their property. It's always the little things that make the biggest difference.

    I need to get a camera. I fish a lake that is heavily pressured, and has 11-15 inch crappies in it that relate to brush/pallet structures placed back in 2002, as well as rock bars, etc. placed a a later time. While my marcum does a great job of showing me fish relating to the structure, I need to be more precise with my presentation. The lake sits between two larger towns in our state with a combined population of 500K people.....on weekends the lake is very busy during ice season.

    I just bought a vs625sd and was just wondering about how far do you normally set the camera away from your line. I am in North Dakota and some of the lakes I fish have have ok water clarity and was just wondering if two feet is far enough away or if the fish would get tangled in the cable? Thanks

    • @InDepthOutdoorsTV
      @InDepthOutdoorsTV  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on water clarity. We try to get the cameras as far away as possible while still being able to see the bait, structure and fish. In ultra-clear water we'll set them up as far as 8 - 12 feet away.

    I love using my camera when it's convenient, nothing like visually seeing how the fish react than just watching a blip. my camera has also helped my northern bite too because i used it to scout a lake for the day to find structure. now i set up at the same spot every time and kill the fish and everybody sets up around me and never catches more than a 1/4 of what i catch. way to show off the camera!

      So far, so good. The Lithium Lazer cuts fast and it is always surprising to see how many holes you can get on one charge. I know the guys are packing up now to head out on their next trip. Temps are forecast to be sub zero for the first time. That will be the next big test for the Lithium Lazer to see how it handles the cold.
