Great advice Brian. I was so overwhelmed on my AFF I gave up after failing level 6 twice. Since then I have been doing some AFF wind tunnel time and my confidence is fully restored and I cant wait till the spring to re-take my AFF. Just knowing how to get off my back and get a stable heading is a great boost. I have also learned to hold a stable heading when pulling my pilot chute, I can even hold a heading and turn with one hand behind my back now, haha.
I learned years ago racing from an old school rider. Son you're spending all you're time fearful of what could happen and wasting all that energy while you need to focus on the things that count like getting better and fixing mistakes. Once I let go of the fear I figured out what he meant. He never passed me again!

Pilatus porter! Be ready to get out when you get in!! And it’ll beat you to the ground! The first time I jumped one, I remember thinking ‘wow this dZ has two matching Porters!!’

Teaching effectively is less about about knowing everything and more about loving everybody.
