brings back memories…. lived in namibia 69/70 and did a 6 months trip through southern africa in 95 with my wife… she is almost more crazy about africa than I am. like you we had a well equipped 4 x 4 and were self-sufficient like you. now we are retired and have all the good memories we can recall… your movie is brilliant and, I liked very much, without comment…… be well and many more journeys 🦀
Dear volker, thank you very much for your comment. This is exactly what I wanted: show how Namibia looks, sounds and feels. I didn't want to be one more of the people who just keep talking and distracting from the beauty. I'm glad to have brought back good memories. Thank you!
Thank you so much! After seeing your video from Namibia, this does mean even more to me. I need to make a short cut of my best scenes like you did! Absolutely inspiring ❤
It is. Unfortunately that is the case for most of the beautiful parts in the world. To be honest, I know more of Namibia than my own country. I love this land and wanted everyone to be able to see it through my eyes. Thank you for watching and your thoughts on the topic. Much appreciated ❤
What a What a journey! Thank you for sharing the best of Namibia. I'm trying to add some off-roading to my route. Could you advise which places or routes you visited would be doable for beginners? I was considering a day trip to Hoarusib from Purros, the Ugab River from Twyfelfontein and the Opuwo area.
Thank you so much! A lot of effort went into making this video. I would love to share my route with you, but I'm not sure how. Do you have any suggestions? Many of the path/roads we used are not on google maps and can only be found on maps like tracks4africa. If you have any way I can share it with you, I will gladly do so. I could list all the stops we took, but if you put that into google, it will not come up with a driveable route.
@slightly_off_track same here. I am headed to Namibia in a few weeks and would love to know more from you. Which was the most amazing off track route, if you had to pick one? Are they suitable for people who are new to 4x4/fairly safe? If there is any way we could get in touch?
@pkinski123 send me an Email to redline_base(at)hotmail.com I'll gladly share as much information with you as possible. Tell me how much time you have, what you have planned, whether you prefer the driving, animals or landscapes, what car you have and in which area you'll be driving and whether you'll be camping or going to lodge. I just returned from a 2 week short trip (video to follow in a couple of weeks) and I found some additional beautiful places. I do not recommend most of the tracks in this video for beginners, but there are great and safer alternatives which provide freedom, solitude and fantastic landscapes.
Excellent footage. Thanks for sharing. Really like some of the wild camping spots. Heading to Namibia in July for a shakeout of my vehicle in preparation for a trans Africa in 2024. Would love to visit some of the locations in this video.
Thank you for the compliment! We went in late August and September. The whole trip took us 4 weeks. We just returned from another short trip starting in the beginning of March. It was a completely different version of Namibia, but I would not drive the riverbeds in the rainy season.
Thank you! We had a satellite phone, huge amounts of water, snake bite kits and the best car for this adventure. I do know that area of namibia quite well and had an emergency plan for every possible scenario. Better to be prepared in these landscapes.
I'm sorry if you didn't like my video. I never wanted to explain anything with it, but show how I experience this land. Not me talking in a language that would limit me in reaching viewers around the world, but showing three lands in sound and picture. I reckon there are enough videos about every land with people just talking for hours about what you can experience. I still hope you liked the pictures. Sorry, but I can't answer in French as my knowledge of the language is terrible
The most beautiful place on planet earth 🌏 ❤
It really is! I can't help but coming back to this amazing land

Choosing the right music was one of the hardest parts of producing this movie. I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for your support! ❤
Beautiful
Thank you
It is such a pity that most Namibians can only experience their country through the eyes of the tourist. Great video

Excellent video. Could you give me the link of the operator that does the balloon ride over the Namibian desert? Thank you
Thank you for your Feedback! It's namib sky balloon safaris. You can book them directly under balloon-safaris.com/ or through sossusvlei lodge
