Neat! I’ve been looking at the urine separator for my tiny home. I’m glad to see how you installed yours, so clever. Cheers!

My pleasure.. it was all a big experiment for me and I was ready to invest in a more expensive and ready made model. But for me and my one person household it works fine! Hope you find what works for your tiny home.

So nice to see your house and all the projects and work you do to make it perfect. I'd love to see a full tour of your house, just because seeing the design makes me very happy ❤️

Hey Nicky! ❤️ there’s a tour video. But perhaps I should make an updated one.

Indeed... still some odd jobs to do but that will probably always be the case and working and embellishing on the house should be fun.

That kind of system is quite common around here, mainly people live in remote areas, and there being so many septic system hassles. It's so great to not use up so much water. And compost! great for a flower garden ;)

A very usefull video Signe, I dont think composting toilet info is very common, and thats going to be the kind of toilet we will have to make for our hobbit house. So thanks for sharing how you do it. Also that cork on the wall is realy nice looking and another great decore idea😀

Hi, I thought you may like the idea. Some years ago I found somebody explaining how to use cotton cloth on the toilet, instead of toiletpaper. By now I have made it my own. I use old cotton t shirts or other cloth that "feels" nice enough for the small job, and cotton towels that were worn out for the big job. I cut them in pieces to fit me, and just have the two piles of cloth sitting in the toilet. I use a squeeze bottle with water to wet the towel, the pieces of t shirt I use dry. Those I throw in a bin, the towels I rins out, and let dry. When ever I have enough normal laundry, I throw the lot in a washingnet and just toss them in the machine with the rest. They always come out clean, and can be reused so very often. I have been using them for years, also when I had to wash by hand since I didn't have a machine. I still use toiletpaper, but far less. (Kind of depends on what I did eat.) Also, I think if you put some oil on that wood you used for your toilet, the wood could come out even more beautiful. I use almond oil on my wooden furniture, you can use coconut oil, and many other oils. As long as they don't go sticky.. Much love, you are awesome!

These are such valuable tips! I like the idea of using cloths!
Unfortunately the wood has been waxed and even after sanding it won’t take the oil well. I tested the underside which does absorb to make sure.
