Two things to consider about game (or virtual 3D) physics: 1) Collisions, or when one object is touching another object, is evaluated by the physics engine using object mesh vertices and the edges connecting those vertex. A simple cube has 8 vertex and 12 edges. The face of a cube is just a texture stretching across a square of four vertex and four edges, and is non physical as far as the physics engine sees it. Your chain falls through the cube face until it contacts the top edge of the cube below it. 2) The physics calculation is divided into multiple slices between animation or display frames. This means the higher the frame rate, the fewer the physics time slices, the less accurate the physics. On the other hand, the lower the frame rate, the further an object moves between frames leaving more of the movement to interpellation which can also cause physics calculation errors. There's a balance between frame rate and time slices and depending on the game's code (how it utilizes the physics functions) this can sometimes change from one computer to the next. As one using the game, you normally can't control the time slice value, but you can control the frame rate. In both Unity and Unreal game engines, the physics is most accurate between 30 to 60 FPS. "Free-wheeling" frame rate can cause inconsistent physics glitches.

I'd love to see you try some of the delivery missions they've added in the last updates as they're quite tricky and there's never been a game as realistic as Beam to do this in where your actions matter so much!

For the newer cars in this game, I know of 5 cars that are new, I believe. The sunburst which I think is 2013. The SBR4, the ETK 800, the bastion, and K series. What we really need is some SUV's, more modern Hatchbacks, Coupes, Sports cars, and supercars in the game eventually.
An idea: Play Outer Wilds because more people need to be aware of how amazing the game is, it's very underappreciated, but has an amazing soundtrack and an even better story. Ever cried from DLC, outer wilds will make the answer a yes
The BeamNG drift people often change the tires, even on a default vehicle for drifts, don't worry. You did pretty good. Do some scenarios and stuff with the new changed cars and stuff.
Fun fact about the new car. For me seeing that car was the first time, but today I saw it in the streets, I believe it was a volvo, or a skoda. (Most likely volvo)
hey @Drae love your vids man so entertaining so have you ever heard of a game called Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game if not it's a game where you can build your own engine and car from the ground up it soo cool i just do sandbox but there is also a campaign but the best part of the game is you can export the cars you have made into beamNG and drive your car it's pretty rad i think a vid on that would be pretty cool thanks, keep up the awesome work.
Drae, if you can make the chain a loop, you can trap them in the blocks (Think of each wall as a figure 8. The chain passes through the holes.) Maybe then you don't need extra vehicles to keep them in place/taut.
i know it would be a little costly but i’d love too see you play on a whole wheel setup, not only would it be fun for us to watch but also you get a new toy…….
