Cant thank you enough for this! Worked great.. I replaced the two o rings, applied some grease.. used your method to use a mallet and a dowel to click it in.. worked GREAT.
The o-rings are NOT what retains that black part (in-tube) that has the o-rings on it and that the leader hose attaches to. The in-tube is retained by internal 'catches' (plastic barbs) that are part of the out-tube piece that it goes into (that you do not show). The outside of the o-rings mate/slide against the inside diameter of the out-tube which turns with the drum.To assemble the parts correctly you need to disassemble the hose reel drum (two 'halves' - very easy) so that you can get to that out-tube and hold it so that the in-tube can be fully snapped into it. NO HAMMERING.
Totally agreed with you. I watched other TH-cam videos to learn how to dissemble the whole unit. Adjusted the white clips which hold the inserts. Then use a wire to tie the white unit to the black plug. It works now, no more leaking and the unit does not pop out. 😊
Mine popped out after a few days. Brand new hose cart. It is slightly different than this one in that it has the o-rings like this, but also a plastic u- shaped clip that slides in and looks like it should hold it in place. Honestly thinking of just returning it. But I might try this mallet trick first.
The o-rings I used #11 O-Ring 3/4 in. O.D. x 9/16 in. I.D. x 3/32 in. wall thickness amzn.to/3iAXPCv This video tells how fixed the leak I showed at the end of the video. th-cam.com/video/eDXAvDG42do/w-d-xo.html
I must have a newer or deluxe model. The supply tube with o-rings is part of the main unit and the feeder hose is attached via a connector that has a locking ring that snaps everything in place.
Just what i needed - happened to me on a new one and i got a part from Suncast on warranty. However i did not know that it was the o rings keeping it in
These pink o-rings have Suncast SKU 0260027P and AS568 dash number 113. For my HoseMobile I needed the orange o-ring which have Suncast SKU 0260051 and AS568 dash number 116
I give! I've watched half dozen "fix your hose reel" videos plus 45 commercial interruptions. I'm Done! could not find the answer to my question and I'm going to make a dump run instead.

Yes, can we start w step one.. how do you take that piece out?
His piece was popping out on its own that was his problem. He didn’t have to worry about how to pop it out since it was already out.
Thank you so much for sharing!!! Got the same problem for my 20 years old or so HoseMobile Reel Cart. Ordered the part you mentioned. Will see...

I have an opposite problem…. The tabs refuse to extract or come out. It would appear they the way to extract the assembly is to attach a hose to it?

Yes, thank you worked very well.

Mine did not come with that adapter
The assembly will not pop out if the O-rings are new and the right size
People that say worter for water usually say dorter for daughter.
