hi dear! 1.5% is not a code. percent of steel should be given from the structural designer in drawings or specifications. in my video i have assumed this value just for calculation.

If it its semi dome then its radius equals the height of dome. If its not semi then radius can not be found by using its height. There must be another parameter known
Then thats easy to calculate radius of dome. You have chord and height. Then use the following formula for radius of dome. R= (a^2 + h^2)/2h Where a : radius of cylinder h: height of dome

Formula is 2/3*pai*(R squ - r squ ) *height
Dear your formula gives approximate answer, my formula gives 100% correct answer. I have done much research on it

It would be 40 ft. Height if the radius is 40 ft. Iffff it's a half dome

It's a segmental dome.... the segmental dome is placed on a cylinder of known radius/diameter.... the base of dome is placed perfectly on cylinder
